Peaches to Beaches

Well we did it! The children and I had a yard sale this weekend. Along with everyone else in the State of Georgia I think. I have been saving pretty much every thing my children have ever had-toys, clothes, books, more toys. After 15 years that all adds up! I had started selling it on ebay but when this thing came up I decided we would try a yard sale. Well the only time I ever had a yard sale was before Cydney was born and I earned back $65.00 which was enough to buy myself a Mickey Mouse watch. This time I sold 5 times that much! Brian and I figure we got back about 10% on the dollar. Daddy thinks not that much. It was a little tough to let some things go but it also felt good knowing I was cleaning up. I was also going to buy myself something but I can never do that Brian and I will divide the money between the children and put it in there savings. It was after all there stuff to begin with. I know one thing it will be a long time before I do it again! Oh by the way I didn't have it saved at my house. It was all stored at the warehouse. These people that have yard sales every weekend, yuk, my time is too important for that.

That lasted all day Friday and today. Shannon, my friend from the dealership, sold with us today. She didn't sell as much as we did but she also didn't have as much as us. I did enjoy spending the day with her. We haven't gotten to do that in along time.

Cydney goofed off with Emily, Shannons daughter. Sam, Shannons son entertained James Brian. Grayce pushed Finn, Shannons baby 20 miles in the stroller. We all got sunburned. The wind blew like crazy and tipped our tent over. By the end of the day we had made some new friends, collected a good bit on money, caught up with some old friends and gotten rid of a bunch of junk!

Then we had dinner with the Johnsons at Cracker Barrell. I have lost my voice so I had to write everything down. Ellie can't read as fast as I write so that was sort of funny! It is impossible to yell at the children this minute so I just have to write BIG! Before Uncle Bobby or Uncle Steve has a rude comment, yes I am sure Brian is enjoying me having to be quiet.

I cannot believe how late it is already and we are just starting to watch home movies. There is a storm on the way so good faithful Brian will probably stay up all night and watch the weather. If he has his way all three children will be on a palet in the floor in our room.

I just want to finish the book I started 30 days ago.

I didn't have time to post Thursday and Friday but nothing exciting happened.

So until next time. Stay safe.....
