Seatbelt Update!

Thank you to everyone who has emailed me or commented on my selfishness to let my sleepy five year old lay down in the back seat unbuckled.

I personally didn't and still don't think it was "selfish" a little irresponsible yes but selfish no.

I do make my children wear their seatbelt 99.9% of the time. I am not obsessive about. My sister is and always has been. That is a subject we have agreed to disagree on.

Occasionally I let them nap in the back seat without a seat belt. Not that big of a deal. I also let the 10 year old and 14 year old drive the car. We also eat raw hotdogs and cookie dough and lick the spoon with raw cake batter on it! Ohhhhh! I even let them ride the 4 wheeler down the street, with a helmet, to their friends house.

I don't intend to get into a screaming match with someone I don't even know. I care about my sisters opinion but that is just what is it, an opinion. The persons advice I do listen to is my husbands and that is the only thought I care to hear.

So, I am not 100% perfect. There is one thing I am damn sure of and that is I am a GREAT mom first, a Great friend second!
