Happy July 4th!

Now I get to play catch up and I can never remember!

We practiced ball everyday last week.

G had her MRI on her knee on Thursday. We had an appointment in Macon at 8:30 so we left at 7:30, I don't like to be late. When we got there the check in lady didn't have the approval code from the insurance company, so we had to wait. Then she didn't have the orders from the doctors office, so we had to wait. Finally after about and hour and 1/2 we had the MRI. Everything looked good but we won't know until we see the doctor next week.

We went to Atlanta for the Peachtree Road Race on Thursday afternoon. Cydney started out driving and I thought she was doing really good but with all the traffic and police everywhere I had to take over in Forsyth. Then she critiqued my driving the rest of the way! Teenagers!

We stayed at the W hotel in Atlanta. It has been the Sheraton forever. Last year they remodeled and changed the name and up the prices! It reminded my of a gay bar! Not that I know what the inside of a gay bar looks like but it looked like what I imagine a gay bar would look like! They also have some kind of bar there so it was loud and they has stinky candles burning in the lobby. You had to insert your key in the elevator to go anywhere so that was a pain in the butt.

We ate supper at the Spagetti Warehouse in Marietta. It was pretty good, if you like spagetti! Then we made our usual stop at publix and barnes and noble. I had forgot something so I had to run back into publix. Daddy went to marta to get a bus pass for Friday morning. About that time he realized he had forgotten his race ticket. The worst part is I thought about asking if he remembered it when they were driving down the road. I also thought he wouldn't forgot the most important part of the day, but he did! Well good ole Brian met him halfway with his ticket. Brian started one way and daddy started toward him. You know how that works. We finally go to bed. I slept terrible. The children couldn't get settled. It was just a typical night.

We get up the next morning, July 4th. We got to the road just in time to see daddy. Margarett and Cydney then started toward the finish line to meet up with him. Grayce and JB were "starving" so I spent $30.00 in the lobby on a fruit cup, 2 cokes and a little box of cereal. We started walking down the street to meet them. We were on two different streets so we never did meet up. Finally we come back to the room. We eat breakfast at Hueys every year. Sometime this year they closed up shop so that ruined that. Daddy had parked his car at the marta station to save the $28.00 garage fee. We tried to get the car and couldn't get across the street because they had the road blocked. We ended up at IHOP. It was so good. We were finally able to get the car.

The children and I went to visit my grandparents and to pick up Annie. She had lunched fixed and it was yummy. I wished I had brought the left over cornbread home! Now I am the favorite granddaughter again because I stayed longer than Melissa did! HA!

We finally left to come home. Cydney drove almost all the way. She drove thru downtown Atlanta like a champ. I was so proud. She finally got tired about Macon. Just in time for the road work and rain. Which was probably best anyway.

We finally got home about 7:00. Just in time for the race. Brian acted glad to see us. I know we missed him.

I am having second thoughts about going to Canada. I don't think I want to be away from home and Brian for two weeks!

Now Annie is bored already, James Brian is hollering for Justin to come over and I need a nap! We don't have ball today or tomorrow so I think I am going to clean house! Yea Me.

Until next time....

Wish I had known y'all were eating at the spaghetti warehouse. You were probably there about the time I was leaving work, which is right down the street.

For the record, most gay bars are not fancy and are usually kinda trashy with loud thumping music and a few queens running around. But, ironically, it was gay pride weekend in Atlanta while you were down there. -- cousin Kelly
