At least it has warmed up.
I had to buy James Brian a couple of shirts this morning to get him by. The sleeves on his shirts from last year are all too short.
Cydney has a yukky nose but she is taking her medicine. Brian is thinking about catching a cold. He came home at lunch and took some drugs. Hopefully he can cut it off at the pass.
Brian finally voted yesterday. He was a good sport about it. Then he daddy and I went to lunch at mexican after I went to curves!
Today I finally got my closet cleaned out. That feels so good to have a major project like that done. Tomorrow we have a costume parade for K5 and then I will go to curves and I would like to work in JB's room but I might not have enough time. Everyday I start out with great ideas that it seems I never get it all done. I feel good if I keep the laundry done up. I hate to have clothes piled every where. Oh and the dishwasher empty too. If it was up to Brian we would eat off paper plates all the time.
I fixed chicken casserole for supper. Cydney said she hates that crap so she can just eat pot luck but I fixed one for my friend who just had a baby and it was easy to fix two at the same time!
Gotta hit the field!

Nothing to Talk About!
Wasn't that the name of a movie.
Cydney stayed home today. I knew she would, she was feeling bad when it got dark. She asked if that "boy" could come over for a minute. He wanted to check on her. I told her to tell him she was fine! Brian would d-i-e, die if he thought she missed school and then had a "boy" over. That was one fuss I didn't want to have!
I had to run a few errands today. I did get to exercise. I hated leaving her here all day but she didn't mind plus daddy brought her lunch.
It was so cold this morning. We don't have too many cold mornings in Perry. Of course I do go start the car even if it is a little chilly outside. It is too much trouble to bundle up just to walk to the car and half undress.
I have already cooked supper. Cydney is playing a computer game and G is wondering around piddlin'. James Brian is playing the Jacob and Brian is still at work.
Our laptop has been out of service since December when we took it in the car to play games on the way to Disney World. We messed up the adapter some how and a new one was $100.00. You can't just buy the piece you had to buy the whole adapter. So I called the company in August and they said they would send me one at no charge. It never showed up. So about a week ago I called them and ask for another one. It arrived today. It is a F tip. I need and E tip. How stupid is that. They probably think people in Georgia are stupid and I just proved them right! I told them they looked almost alike. I am sure someone in customer service is going to have a good laugh at my expense. Oh, well it won't be the first time.
I guess that is all. I think I am going to take a bath because I smell like fried chicken and any one who knows me knows I have smell issues!

Here We Go With Strep Again!
Cydney has been telling me her throat hurt. The thing is it didn't hurt bad enough for her to want to go to the doctor this weekend. I can't say that I blame her I always feel better on the weekends! Not really but then again I am not 15!
Well this morning she was feeling really yukky. I took her to the doctor at 9:00. She didn't actually test positive for strep but the doctor said that in house test was only right 20% of the time. Why bother if it is only right 20% of the time? Anyway since JB just had strep she is treating her for it. She is supposed to stay out of school until Wednesday. I don't know if she will because first there is too much work to make up when you miss and second I don't know if she can stay away from the "boy" and third she has ball practice tomorrow and if she misses school she misses practice. I don't want her to go if she feels bad I guess we will decide in the morning. Right this minute she is feeling worse than she did this afternoon.
After the doctor she felt like shopping and then we had lunch with daddy! It was so good we went to O'Charleys. The potato skins were the best. They used to serve those at Ruby Tuesdays but they don't anymore.
I picked the little ones up from school and we came right home.
Betty Crocker made cupcakes to take to her class tomorrow. James Brian and I are racing cars and monster trucks. Cydney is still resting.
I didn't get to go to curves but that is fine I have all week. I started cleaning my bathroom but didn't even get finished with that.
Oh, we went to trunk or treat last night(i think i keep calling it truck or treat). The children had fun. There were a bunch of people. Lots of food. Brian went hunting so he didn't get to eat. I think he ate when he came home I can't remember!
DON'T FORGET TO VOTE. There is going to be huge lines on November 4th!

CARL IS THE MAN!
I don't think it is possible to win the championship at this point but Carl is the man. He won Sunday and he won Saturdays' Nationwide Series.
GO CARL!

It Is a NASCAR Weekend For Us!
I will start with Friday first. I finally got all my exercises in for the week. It wasn't so bad and I do feel better about myself. Brian says he can tell a difference but I think he is just being nice.
I took the children to school Friday morning. Went to the carlot to wait for the talkers to get of the way. Went to exercise. Then went to sign G up for basketball. Walked in the door and remembered I was supposed to call the dentist for G. Her baby teeth take forever to wiggle out and she had one that was cracked but wouldn't let go so we had to go to the dentist to let him make sure it was a baby tooth. She ended up having two baby teeth pulled and then went right back to school. By that time it was too late to come home so I ordered lunch and hung out at the dealership until pickup time. When the children got in the car they wanted to go to the dealership. We visited for a minute, Cydney stayed and I took the little ones to the library. Then we came home for the rest of the night. Cydney ended up at daddys but they brought her home later that night.
Brian, Cydney and James Brian went to the truck race in Atlanta on Saturday. Grayce and I went shopping and then to the movies, High School Musical 3 is so good, then to eat lunch, the grocery store, she decided to be Betty Crocker, and then we had our nails done. We came home, she fixed cupcakes and then everyone else came home and then we all went to bed! G made cupcakes from scratch. She added all the stuff. She didn't fix the box kind.
We had a wedding to go to but I think the bride wouldn't have know if I was there are not so I didn't go. I will go visit her later and take her another present. I just couldn't pass up quality time just me and G.
This morning Brian and JB went back to the cup race. The girls and I went to Sunday school and then to lunch at applebees. I hate that place almost as much as that other place I can't remember the name of it right this minute. Anyway, Grayce went over to her friend Kaylas. Cydney has Cole over. They aren't "going out" but they are talking. What does that mean??? She did get her room clean. Her phone was in jeopardy! Her cleaning her room and Cole coming over don't have anything to do with each other. He isn't allowed up stairs. Actually out of the den for that matter.
Our church is having trunk or treat tonight. I don't really care about it but the children have fun and that is what life is all about. Having Fun! Brian is supposed to have JB home by six. He thought the race started at 1:00. It actually started at 2:20 so I am sure JB will be ready to go in time for truck or treat.

Cydney Did It!!
She stepped out of her comfort zone and signed up to play fall ball. Her first practice was tonight. They only played for an hour. Her coach is Grayce's coach from season before last. It worked out good because Cydney is comfortable with him and we love the family. He also has girls Cyd and G's age that play on the team. As crazy as it sounds it was nice to be back at the ball field. It was even more comfortable me not being in charge of all those parents and children. I wanted to volunteer to help Andy but held my tongue and I know I will be glad I did. He is a little better about practices, he has already set the dates and times and they won't change.
Grayce has a loose tooth that is driving us crazy. The reason I say us is because it is bothering her and she is bothering me and it makes us crazy!
Brian was supposed to be off today. He went hunting and then went to work. He is taking off the weekend to go to the race in Atlanta.
Yesterday we were able to sleep a little later because of the conferences. Well, last night when I set the clock I thought it was for six. This morning the tv went off at five! I was wide awake! At that point it wouldn't have done any good to go back to sleep so I just watched tv for an hour.
James Brians conference was good. It is very smart and reads really well. He is also kind and considerate to others. The boys and the girls play well together at this age and they would love to have ten more children just like him. He does need to work on his coloring and writing. He is gets a little sloppy sometimes because he is in a hurry. I don't know why a Bearden would get in a hurry. No one else does in this family!
I gotta go play a game of guess who. Until next time....

I think I need counseling!
You know I only think it is funny because I have athletic children. In all fairness that is me except I was the skinny uncoordinated child!
Have a good afternoon everybody!

I am Not Sure What Just Happened!
We came home from school and James Brian ask could Jacob play and we called him and he came over and the next thing I know James Brian and Grayce both left to go to Jacobs house. I hate when that happens. They have been gone all day long and all I ask for is a few minutes and they don't have time for me. Good Grief! It was bad enough that I dropped Cydney off to babysit and now here I sit all by myself.
I kept Michael's baby Jacob this morning. Well until 2:00. His wife's mother had something so they asked me to keep him. He is really cute and he is starting to smile when you talk to him. I keep telling him how I am the good aunt and how much he is going to love me. When he gets old enough to talk he is going to tell me his favorite is Melissa and it will hurt my feelings!
Grayce went to the orthodontist this morning. I guess she is going to end up in braces. What we do to look good! It is all in the same of self esteem!
I voted this morning! I was proud to do so. I know God is in control of this election but it is making me crazy. I have a sticker on my car. I wear a button on my shirt all most everyday and a sign in my yard. I have to set a good example for my children so they will take it serious. Oh, if any one doesn't know I am a PROUD REPUBLICAN!
I haven't been able to go to curves in two days. Yesterday I worked and then it was too late to go and today I kept Jacob and then it was too late to go and I don't want to leave the children to go this evening so I will have to go Wed, Thurs and Fri. The children are out of school tomorrow for teacher conferences, I think I mentioned that before, daddy and I have a meeting at 9:00 with a construction company in town. We don't have there business and I am trying to get it! Then I have my conference at 12:00. I am going to try to exercise between the two appointments.
The next thing on my agenda is the City Counsel meeting so we can get the City of Perry business. I know it sounds crazy but we are in the city limits and they take there cars out of town to be serviced. So I am stirring that up. It is a long story but I feel good about it because we are in the city limits and they should bring the cars to us. The city already buys the cars somewhere else because we don't have the state bid and it would cost about $5,000.00 more per car for them to buy them from us. The place they are buying them from is cheating some how to sell them but I am not calling anyone they will eventually get caught and it will cost them dearly! Since the children started school I am just going around causing trouble. Actually the car business sucks and I have to do what I can to get some business.
I signed James Brian up for basketball yesterday. Hopefully he will like it. I am getting back in to the routine of running around everyday. Cydney is playing softball and JB basketball and G is thinking about basketball again but I don't mind. I love to watch them play.
Brian brought me lunch home today. The first thing he said was don't get used to this. It was late when I ate so now I am not hungry and now I have to figure out something to feed the children.
I guess I better go do the laundry. Until next time.....

James Brian has his First Loose tooth!
It might not sound like a big deal to you but it is to me. When Cydney had her first loose tooth I still had Grayce and James Brian and then when G has her first loose tooth I had James Brian and now this is my last set of teeth!
I guess it does sound a little disfunctional but that is just me. I have said my family puts the fun in disfunctional!
Friday night we when to the ball game. James Brian was ready to go as soon as we got there and his friends weren't there. I left at half time and Brian stayed with the girls.
Saturday we had two birthday parties. I don't even have the patience to explain all that but James Brian at one and Grayce at another had a really good time.
I had a nice telephone visit with my mother in law. Apparently her and James Brian are trying to see who can get sick and stay sick the longest.
I cooked a really good supper and no one ate! I don't know why I even bother.
Cydney had a boy come over. It was funny he was on the way and when she realized her daddy was coming home to get his things to go hunting she told him not to come yet. Well when Brian got home from hunting Cole was still here. It was so cute. He was scared. I told him to quit fidgeting and Brian was nice and said hello and Cole stood up and shook his hand and then we went to the kitchen, Brian and I, and that was it.
We went to Sunday school and church. Then the girls went to eat lunch with daddy and Brian, JB and I came home.
Brian and Cydney went to the field to throw some balls and now they have gone to the woods. Grayce has just been playing by herself today. I have played at least 50 games of guess who with James Brian and probably 10 games of candy land. Last night Brian, James Brian and I were playing are you smarter than a fifth grader, which I am not, but I could answer the science questions and I think Brian was impressed. I suck at math but I could do science!
Now it is time for me to go to bed but I don't think I can get anyone else to cooperate!
We are ready for school tomorrow. Wednesday is teacher conferences so they are out all day long. Nothing like a mid week break. I only have to go for James Brian. You only have to conference in the upper grades if your children are not doing good. They got there report cards and were probably the best they have been. G has all A's and Cydney has 3 A's and 4 B's! They get there smarts from there daddy. Remember I am not smarter than a 5th grader!
Until next week, may the force be with you!

It is even sadder to think I think that picture is funny!
Nothing fun is happening in the Bearden house this week.
We went by the carlot yesterday because G has to print something. Our printer still isn't working and I thought we could get one for Christmas but I don't think we can wait that long.
I worked yesterday then went to exercise and then I went to the fire department for a field trip. The funniest part of the day was when the fireman told the children when the other fireman put on his suit they could touch him. I don't know why that was funny but just think about it. You can touch the fireman! I am sure his family appreciates his buddy saying that. Oh, well I guess you had to be there.
The other exciting thing was Cydney and I spent hours looking at pictures on match.com. I don't have a problem with that. I think that is how my friend met her husband. I think I might put my mom on there. She doesn't want to get married but she could use a money machine. Anyway, I saw this friend of mine this weekend or so I thought he was a friend with another woman. Well it isn't that big a deal that he was walking with her they weren't holding hands or acting all cozy so that would be like me being with one of my friends but then I ask my friends neighbor and she told me they had gotten a divorce. That he was on one of the singles web sites. So Cydney and I spent most of the evening looking for him. The funny part of this story is we kept seeing people we know. Some of that was funny but it makes me sad to think they are lonely and looking for someone. I wished I could sort out my friends and match them up together.
Brian is off today. He is spending his day cutting grass or something at our land. Apparently the deer have to have a nice clean place to walk. I don't know the story but he is doing his thing and not pestering me so whatever makes him happy. Gun season opens next week so he has to get ready?? I really don't mind. He works hard all the time I am glad he is doing something for himself.
I went to the grocery store this morning and now I am just playing on the computer. I should be working in the house or balancing my check book I started on a week ago and haven't finished yet. But all that seemed boring so I had rather look at funny pictures online.
Brian is going to grill out tonight. Which is fine with me. My favorite thing in the world is a hamburger.
Peace!

I have Been Shopping All Day!
It is fun to do that when you are all by your self! James Brian hates to shop so I am not able to shop with him. Cydney is starting to enjoy shopping but I don't have the patience for her to try on every piece of clothing in the store! We shop in PC when Brian can keep JB and G!
The fair is packed up and gone! We let the Ag Center borrow cars to run errands and to haul the entertainers around. Daddy and I started that the first year of the fair. I used to drive before I had children. I picked up Billy Ray Cyrus at the airport. We have picked up Jerry Clower, Diamond Rio, Tanya Tucker hung out with Lee Greenwood and Diamond Rio oh, Alan Jackson and Vince Gill too. Anyway I can't remember everyone but it got old after a while. My favorite was Billy Joe Royal. Margaretts favorite was probably Ray Stevens.
Anyway, we just give them the cars and when the fair is over we pick the cars back up. This year they wrecked the van! The good thing is I wasn't driving and there insurance will pay for it and in 19 years it has never happened. The bad thing is when I left the body shop last week after my accident, where I got bumped, I said the fair is in town I will see you next week! In return they give me whatever I want. Which is several parking passes that I can park any where I want, but we don't abuse those. They pay for there own gas and don't put many miles on the car so it doesn't hurt anything.
Yesterday the children were still out of school. Grayce played at Carolines and JB played at Justins.
Brian took us to Mexican for supper. We has fun sitting down together to eat. The only time we do that is when we go somewhere. Brian usually gets home after we already have eaten. Sometimes we are already in bed. I think tonight might be one of those nights!
I only ate 1/2 of mine. I brought the rest home to have for lunch today. I was gone for lunch so when Cyd came in and saw it she asked could she have it. I said yes. I didn't mind at all but it sure did smell good when she heated it up. I think I might have to get Brian to take me there for lunch tomorrow. Except James Brians first ever field trip is tomorrow and I hate to smell like a mexican to visit the fire department. Someone might hose me down!
Today everyone was back in school. I had homecoming shoes to return and several other things so by the time I had done that there was no use in rushing home so I just piddled around. Before I left I went by the dealership to unload all the stuff I took to the fair. My Uncle Barry showed up around 9:00. That was a nice surprise. I can't remember the last time I saw him.
Now we are home. The girls have eaten and are supposed to being starting on homework. I have to go finish balancing my checkbook. I haven't done it all year long! I did find all the registers and all the statements so I am at least headed in the right direction.
My granddaddy is doing good. He is at a rehab place which Grandmomma says is a nursing home. The good thing is the rehab people think they can get him going so he can come home in several weeks. I was going to help with him today but gm wanted me to wait until later. They help him eat and she might need me later at her house.
Did anyone read Chase's comment. That boy is so funny and I don't think he means to make me laugh he just does. He told Melissa Ronald McDonald was not a food counseler.
Until next time.....

Last Day of The Fair!
And not a moment too soon.
I told Brian and Daddy that I hadn't enjoyed my fair experience this year like I usually do. I think James Brian didn't feel good most of the time so that contributed to it.
Friday night we had to take James Brian to the emergency room because he was screaming in pain where they gave him a shot 36 hours before. He got some pain medicine and warm compresses and was feeling a little better Saturday morning. It took him a long time to get moving and it is the saddest thing to see him limping around.
I took him back to the doctor this morning because he had a fever last night. Something about antibotics and our strep being smarter than it used to, yadda, yadda, yadda. Anyway the doctor assures me that the penicillian last for three weeks and he will get over strep and his leg will eventually feel better.
Brian is still at the fair with the girls. They went to the Sugarland concert. I brought James Brian and Justin home to play. It was sprinkling and damp and I didn't think he needed to stay out.
I am also keeping baby Jacob while Michael and Brandi go to the concert. He is the sweetest little thing. Even sweeter knowing he is going home later tonight.
Grayce and Cydney both went to the Sugarland concert. They will be home later tonight. Michael is supposed to bring them. I am sure Michael will bring G and daddy bring Cydney.
Justin is over playing. They both are getting ready for bed so I better make sure they aren't fussing.
Until tomorrow.....

Has Anybody Seen That Fruit Saver Bag?
I only have one thing to ask about tonight. Has anyone seen the advertisement for the fresh fruit bag that keeps your fruit and veggies fresh for 30 days?
Who buys 30 days worth of fruit at one time anyway.
First of all, I have three children. Fruit does not last more than about 30 minutes at this house. I certainly cannot buy 30 days worth of fruit at one time.
Besides if I could buy 30 days worth of fruit it would get lost in the fridge somewhere and by the time I found it it would be growing penicillian.
More tomorrow.....

Isn't It Supposed To Be Cold For the Fair?
I think it was 100 degrees outside today!
James Brian has strep throat again. Actually he never got over it last week. When we came home Sunday from Cartersville he had a fever. I called the doctor and she said it is probably a virus. Ok whatever. Melissa told me the antibiotic wasn't strong enough and she is always right! (I hope she doesn't read that I will have to listen to her every time from now on). I noticed the last couple of days he has been kind of crabby. Well sure enough he woke up with a fever. We went to the doctor this AM and he still has strep. He was such a big boy. He chose to get the penicillian shot so he didn't have to take medicine. It hurts. I know from experience. But he is already feeling much better and I promised him he could play three games at the fair!
We went to the fair to eat supper and picked up Justin. The will come and get him later on tonight.
G is with me and Cydney and Brian are working at the fair. It was cold this morning. It was cold at the doctors office, I was cold in the car and when I got home the house was cold. So I dressed for the winter to go to the fair. It was so hot I was sweating.
It was almost impossible to find clothes to fit. All my winter clothes are too big. I have four pair of pants that I bought the last couple of weeks but they are too big. I have the mindset to buy my clothes too big and I have to get over that. So next week when the children go back to school I will return those pants and buy ones that fit.
I wanted to run to town tonight and buy a pair of jeans for tomorrow but G didn't want to sit with James Brian. But the truth is there couldn't be a better problem to have at this point!
My grandaddy is doing better. I think he is going to a rehab facility to get better. He does really good for my sister. Probably because he doesn't want to listen to her fussing!
I promised the children to get to the fair earlier tomorrow but the fun part is at night time. I just don't think JB will be good all day.
I guess that is all the excitement for one day.
Until next time......

FAIR, FAIR, FAIR!
I think we are at the halfway point.
We stayed until 11:00 on Saturday. Cydney went to homecoming. She was so pretty. I will post the pictures this weekend. I am rush, rush, rush this week. She didn't love it. "They didn't play any good music". She got a little stressed in the process. She had her hair and finger and toes done. Her friend helped her with her makeup. She had to wear shoes most of the night. I am sure her date was wondering if she was going to wear flip flops with her dress. My police officer friend worked the dance so I could call him on his cell phone and check up on her and she didn't even know it. She wanted to go bowling at 11:30 that night and I wouldn't let her so she got a little aggravated with me. But she is only 15. God's will she will have her own children one day and then she will understand!
We went to the hospital on Sunday. The whole family. Granddaddy is hanging in there but I don't know how much longer. I also don't know how to explain it to Grayce who is constantly crying because she is worried about him.
I worked the fair yesterday, after I went to curves. It was so boring. Today I decided to stay home and clean house. We will go after school today to eat supper and then come on home.
I have to work at the dealership tomorrow but I am going to excersie first! 3 days a week thats all it takes!
I guess that is a quick summary. I want to get most of the house cleaned today before I go out this afternoon.
Hope your having a good week.

How Much Longer Until The Fair Is Over???
I know last week I was excited but I am already worn out! If you remember I spent most of Wednesday going back and forth. Then Thursday, the day the fair opened we went after school and stayed until 8:15.
On Thursday I worked at the fair 1/2 the morning, after my trip to Curves and then to move chairs for homecoming. Then the children wanted to go after school. That was fine because Eric and Andrea, Breanna and Walker came. Marc and Lynn came with Hayden. Grayce had her friend Hannah with her. Daddy and Margarett hung out with us. Michael and Brian were supposed to be working but working actually means just hanging out visiting with people who stop by every year to say hi. We finally left about 10:00. The funny thing was James Brian didn't move a muscle all night long! He didn't kick me once!
Now today I have been running Cydney around getting her hair done. Then a trip across town to get her nails done. Now she is at Jessicas because apparently Jessica can help her get ready? Justin is here playing with James Brian and Grayce is waiting for me to take her to the fair to see Breana. We are taking Cyd to meet her date at the school at 4:45 and then we will all go back to the fair! I have to pick her back up from the dance at 11:00. I could have never stayed out until 11:00 when I was fifteen. I don't think I could stay out until 11:00 when I was a senior. She is actually aggravated because I won't let her go bowling after the dance. Silly girl, tricks are for kids!
James Brian finally learned all the days of the week. He knew them at home but for some reason he couldn't recite them in front of Ms. Evelyn. He has a field trip to the Fire Department next week. I hate field trips. I think I might have to miss that one. Then I feel guilty because since I don't work I know I should go plus I know James Brian would want me to go. At least I think he does he might rather me skip it.
My granddaddy is very sick. I need to go see him but I can't tonight. I just pray that he makes it thru the night and Brian is going to take me to see him in the morning.
I will post when I can. Hey Crystal, keep up girlfriend!

I Did It!!
I joined curves. My sister ask was it fun. I said oh, yea. Tons. I would hardly call excersing fun. It actually wasn't so bad. It was worse today because thier was a bunch of women and they want to chit chat and believe it or not, I don't.
Yesterday I was guilted into helping decorate the gym for homecoming. For the love of all things that are high school it was a pain! I personally thought they couldn't get it together and I had to take over! I really didn't but I did have a few ideas!
Today was a mess and I didn't get anything done. Actually I took the children to school, went to curves, went to the mall to find Cydney shoes for her dress. Then I had to pick up some things for homecoming. I went to the car lot to help move cars to the Ag Center(the fair starts tomorrow). We got a few moved but we have to finish up tomorrow. I drove back and forth. Brian bought my lunch but I had to go pick it up! I also picked up some jewelry for the dress and found G a superman t shirt to wear to school tomorrow for super hero day! Are you still keeping up?
Then I picked the children up. Went by the ag center again. I had only been there 3 times at that point. Cyd stayed at school to work on the banner. I took G to her friend Hannahs house to work on a project. Went back to the dealership waiting to take more cars. They got busy. Picked up G went to the school to work on the gym. Got tired and bored, went back to the ag center and now we are home.
I fixed a casserole really quick for supper. Grayce is finishing her project and James Brian is hollering for me to do something. The only thing we are fixin' to do is go to bed.
The same thing starts all over tomorrow except the fair will really be open so the children will want to go after school and hang out until dark. I think I have mentioned before we are a sponsor so we actually have lunch and supper. So we stay and eat!
I gotta go. Brian is home!
