We have a Day Off!

I am so excited to have a day off I just had to share the news!

Grayce went to work this morning, Cydney swapped out at 2:00. Grayce said Shannon interviewed someone today so maybe they will get some help.

James Brian has been playing with his friend Justin today. I have been able to get the laundry caught up from the weekend and my lazy day yesterday! After all the sleep I got yesterday I was still able to go to sleep fast last night and sleep really good. That was a nice change for me!

I still have a financial statement I am pondering downstairs. I have to get it finished before Margarett goes postal on me! But sometimes you just have to think about a few days to figure out the errors!

I guess since the family will be home tonight I should try to figure out something for supper. I actually have to run to the ball field to pick up some stuff for the state playoffs plus I would hate to go a day without ball!

Grayce got a new playstation 3 game so since she has been home I haven't heard a word out of her.

Tomorrow I suppose we will start our weekly house duties so the house isn't a total mess for us to go off this weekend. Daddy will run in the Peachtree Road Race on Friday morning. The best part is breakfast at Hughies afterwards.

Sunday

Daddy took Brance half way home on Thursday. He gets physically sick when he gets too tired. We wore him out. He has to have a lot a sleep and we don't get much around here! He was really sweet and I know James Brian misses him.

Cydney and Grayce continued to work with their dad last week. They took turns. One day Grayce went in early and Cydney swapped with her in the afternoon. Brian makes them keep up with their time on a time card. They save their money until they want to buy something and then he will give them a check! They are both pretty good about putting into their savings accounts. Cydney likes to save up to buy Christmas presents so she has to start early! She is a big spender on her family.

We continue to practice ball everyday. We went to a tournament in Newnan, Georgia yesterday. I was awake at 3:00AM. We were at the Waffle House at 4:50 and left Perry at 6:00. We got home about 1:00 this morning. I told Brian by the time I had a shower I had been up for 24 hours and I wasn't even gambling!

They played five games. It was a long day but if they had of kept winning we could have ended up playing 4 or 5 more. Grayce and Cydney both cried when they finally lost but I know they were ready to go home.

Grayce and the other pitcher kept swapping out pitching duties. Brian said she should have her feel of pitching by now! He did ask her this morning if she wanted to go to the field and throw and she said no!

We got up late this morning. Yes, we are heathens again. We skipped church. After breakfast I got back in the bed and slept till almost 3:00. I can't remember when in my married life I have ever been as lazy as I have been today. At this point there isn't any reason to do anything. I might as well wait until tomorrow!

Brian had to get out so he has gone to Sams and to Gray, Georgia to put up a for sale sign at a house we have. Grayce is just now getting a shower and Cydney is still laying on the couch. James Brian is driving cars downstairs, I hear his motor running!

The race is on but Carl was so far back I quit watching. For some reason I just wasn't interested today!

My sister just called. Most of you know I sell on e bay. I admit I get carried away sometimes. At one point Cydney was digging in her room looking for stuff to sell. Anyway Brance told his mother he wanted to get on e bay and she asked him why and he told her he left a shirt at my house and he was sure I had it for sell already! I don't think that is a compliment!

Maybe Just Once A Week!

Maybe I should just start posting once a week but if I do then I forget what happened and I can't blog it!

Brance, my nephew, is here. He spent the night with daddy Sunday and me last night. I think he probably will go to daddys again tonight to get away from James Brian. Brance doesn't like cars as much as JB does! I fed him a hotdog for supper last night. But at least I fixed it, he didn't have to do it!

G is practicing ball everyday. Cydney and Brian are helping. That sort of look like the bad news bears! We are playing in a tournament in Newman this weekend. The coach and I just about decided we would skip the tournament and take the entry fee and buy them supper. We would still save the gas money!

Cydney and Grayce are taking turns working at the dealership. We are an employee short in the office and that way they can earn some money. Brian makes them clock in and out! Plus if only two children are at the house there isn't too much fussing.

I tried to take a nap but Brian called. I hate when that happens. The air is fixed and it was feeling so good upstairs. Brian pointed out that it didn't have to be 68 degrees upstairs we had gotten by all weekend with it in the 80's.

I guess that is everything for today.

Sunday

I know this blog is getting boring but I am doing the best I can!

My buddy Carl is back with it so that should be good for a couple of comments. I can't believe I didn't hear it when JR won. I went to bed early and didn't watch the race last night but we are looking forward to this afternoons!

Brian is working in the yard and I should be cleaning house but I am blogging! My house smells like a rental upstairs because of the air conditioner. The phone wasn't broken just unplugged. We have our phone service thru the cable company. The new box is plugged into the outlet downstairs where the lamp is supposed to be plugged up. The girls just thought the bulb was blown. Well G got to fiddling with it and realized it was unplugged so she unplugged the phone and plugged the lamp up. That in turn turned off the phone. The cable company called Brian and told him exactly where to look and tada, I fixed it!

Daddy and Margarett, Melissa, Annie and Brance went to the Townsend family reunion. I chose not to go so that side of the family will be mad at me for a few days but selfishly I just wanted to stay home with my family on Sunday and not do anything else.

Yesterday I went to the ballfield at 12:00 to turn in the uniform order. I came back home. I went back to the ballfied at 2:00 for practice. I went to the dealership to make copies of ball stuff and then back to the field. I went home to get Cydney and James Brian and then back to the ballfield.

We went to Sunday school and church this morning. I thought I was going to fall asleep. That just happens sometimes.

Brian is playing golf this afternoon and I thought we might go to the pool but I am just not really wanting to. I guess whatever the girls feel like is what we'll do.

I am going to play monster trucks now.

Saturday, Whew!

I hate to sound like my sister but, where does time go?

We are practicing ball everyday. It looks like folks could schedule things all during the day instead of everything at once! Anyway we made it thru Friday night virtually unscathed and G is getting dressed now to go to practice. We already went to the field earlier to turn in the uniform order.

We are having a low income kind of day. The phone is out of service, it was working fine last night but this morning it isn't. So I am sure everyone that calls thinks I forgot to pay the bill but the cable is on and they are both cable, so. The air conditioner upstairs is on the blink. It is blowing just not cold air. We noticed it was working a little harder the last couple of days. So I guess we will all camp out in the den tonight. I get ill if I am hot! Plus Brian has been out side all day so I always have the house like a freezer when he gets here. James Brian and I just drank the last coke so I am just about to have a panic attack! I can fix that problem though!

Nothing else exciting is happening here I think I am going to have to do laundry!

One Season Down, One Playoff To Go!

Last night G had her team party for her regular season team!

Tonight she has a birthday party @ 6:00, pitching lessons @ 6:30 and pitching practice @ 7:00, plus tomorrow she has regular team practice @ 6:00, JB has a party @ 6:00 in another town and I have a meeting at school @ 7:00. Just think I wanted to get a paying job! Somebody somewhere is going to get short changed! Oh, Well!

The good thing is I have finished my secretarial duties for one team. I have just begun my duties for the All Star team. Apparently with Grayce I am part of the package! Then on top of all that the school called for me to help with the school softball team today! I don't mind really it makes me feel useful! Coach Robert told Brian he could have me back when the playoffs are over. The sad part is Brian didn't even care!

Janet Evanovich has a new book out. My sister and I have decided we are getting tired of them. She finished her copy but I am not even 1/2 thru mine yet!

Brian is working on his day off because he is leaving early every night to help coach the softball team.

Cydney got a really cool jacket from the team last night. An autographed jacket from a group called Rehab. Youtube them. They are cool!

Cyd and G are both working at the dealership today. That leaves me to entertain JB. Luckily Jacob just came over!

I can't think of much else exciting.

Monday and Tuesday

We are back playing ball every night. Brian is helping coach this team so when I get my secretarial duties taken care of I can leave but usually I am too busy running my mouth!

The children are at bible school this week and they are having fun. Cydney and Grayce are both helping instead of actually being in a class. It worked out so G is helping in JB's class so he is loving that.

Cydney got her phone back but she really doesn't care. Monday instead of going to get her phone she went to lunch with a friend. I had to go to Macon yesterday so I picked it up for her. I am convinced those cell phones are the work of the devil!

I miss the beach, well the sunshine terribly. We have our other team party tonight at the pool and my tan is fading fast. It hasn't been pretty enough here in the last couple of days to go to the pool. Hopefully tomorrow or Friday will be good.

Sorry there isn't anything more exciting to tell. We are looking forward to our trip to Canada.

We're Back!

We made it home!

Cydney drove almost the entire trip. She is doing a great job. I realized last night that the problem we were having is I am not used to issuing instructions while someone is driving! While on the other hand she is waiting for me to give me approval before she pulls out or changes lanes, etc. etc. So today we both did better!

We went to Eric and Andreas house for the weekend. We had so much fun. The acted like they were glad to see us! We went to Gulf Shores to an amusement park type thing for Breannas birthday. After several hours there and about $100.00 later we headed to the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo, they have a show on the Animal Planet. It was closed due to weather so I was disappointed but I don't think the children cared either way. After that they decided to play Putt-Putt and we were all having a big time until JB hit Breannas friend in the eye with the golf club. Andrea is in the medical field, speech therapy, and she could help you if you were having a heart attack or went into a diabetic coma but the sight of blood and she is useless! After we got the little disaster taken care of we ended up at the Cracker Barrel.

I thought I was disfunctional with my children but the Pointers have me beat! They hold Walker all night long so they all can sleep. I guess I would have to if that is what it took.

We left on time this morning and now we are home and doing laundry. We have bible school in the morning and the children are all looking forward to that. I was going to stay at the beach but they wanted to come home. Brian worked in the yard this afternoon while Cydney and I cleaned the porch up from the cats! Bad idea to get them!

I guess that is a quick summary of our week gone around the world! I am having second thoughts about driving to Canada but I really, really want to see our friends.

With the risk our sounding like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz, There's no place like home!

Friday's Trip to Fairhope, Alabama

What in the world have I gotten myself into. Margarett and Eric always say it is only 2 hours from Panama City Beach to Fairhope, Alabama! Whatever! I think it is more like 3 1/2! Then I asked how long will it take me to get home from here and Andrea and Eric both said 6 hours. No, the navigation in my car says 8!

We are here now and are enjoying spending time with the Pointers. Walker is a cutey and Breanna is being really sweet playing with JB and G!

Brian made it to PCB on Tuesday night and we had a good time with him. That is part of the reason Fairhope seems so faraway because Brian left this morning and had to go home.

Tuesday night before Brian got there we ate at Hammerhead Freds. Wednesday I cooked spagetti for us and then we went to Jaimis house. I miss seeing them once or twice a week but we got to spend some time with them and that will have to do for now!

Brian and JB did there thing. They played Putt-Putt two or three times. Grayce spent one whole day with her friend Skylar and Cydney and I went shopping. In between the shopping and the Putt-Putt Brian spent about 8 hours in the pool with James Brian. We all have a good suntan but if we don't get out again soon it will wash off!

Another day we went to the Treasure Ship for supper. The atmosphere is great but I personally think it is overpriced!

When I wait to post a couple of days I get all unorganized and out of sorts. We are going to be in Alabama until Sunday morning and then we will go home for Fathers Day and start ball again on Monday.

I actually think Grayce is probably enjoying a couple days off, I am!

SUNBURN/SUNTAN

Hello from the beach!

We are having a big time. Actually Cydney and her friends loafed most of the day. James Brian, Grayce and I went back and forth from the pool to the room. We went to the beach one time but it took longer to get down there than we stayed so I wouldn't go back this afternoon!

Brian is on his way so the children are happy. We just went to visit my friend Jaimi at her house and stopped at Sonic for an ice cream and then Mickey D's for a cheeseburger and then back to Sonic for cheese fries! We ate supper in the room because nobody wants to go anywhere good without Brian.

Cydney wanted to go to Club LaVela for teen night but I said sorry. There isn't any windows in that place.

I am about to take my sunburned self to sleepytown! Actually we all use lots of sunscreen but no matter how much you use and keep putting on there is always that sneaky spot that gets red! G's face is red because she swims and keeps wiping the sunscreen off! Cydney just thinks she can get a whole suppers worth of sun in two days! I just want to go home and not be burned!

PANAMA CITY BEACH

We made it!

We are at the beach. Cydney drove all the way and she did such a great job. James Brian napped for two hours and G played the playstation. It was the nicest trip in the car, ever!

We have been to the pool and the beach but now James Brian and I are in the room and the girls are still at the pool. I can see them but I can still wonder around and eat lunch and keep checking on them.

We stopped at walgreens last night and bought something for lunch today. We are still thinking about supper. We ate at Po Folks last night. It was cheap and everybody ate really good. I don't know why we always end up there. I hate to eat anywhere good without Brian so we might just go back to Po Folks are maybe just have a sandwich for supper. The children are just as happy to eat junk food I had just rather feed them vegetables!

Cyd is still without her phone and guess what....she is surviving! I know she didn't think she could but some how she has managed to pull it together!

It is about 30 degrees cooler here than it was in Perry. The pool has been resurfaced and it is so nice down there. It is also nice not to have the stress of ball hanging over my head this week!

Shannon and I finished up the financial statement on Sunday afternoon before I left so even that is done! Yea me!

I forgot my camera but Cyd brougt hers I just can't download pictures from the laptop! I will have some ready when I get home.

I guess that is all the excitment for today. We are going back swimming here shortly!

Wednesday, Thursday and Friday

How about the cliff notes version!

Wednesday we didn't have a game. I know I said that already but I had to start with that to make a point. We went to the field anyway! We had been promising the girls Mexican so we ended up eating supper out!

Thursday we went to the Perry Pool! James Brian had a game. We ate Mexican for supper with our friends!

Friday night G had her last game. We ate Mexican again with a bunch of friends. Fourteen of us! In between that Cydney has Mexican with Margarett and Daddy for lunch. She is starting to speak spanish! Not really!

Our regular ball season is finally over. James Brian actually had his last game today but he didn't want to go so we skipped it. Besides it was too hot and I was really afraid his asthma would flair up so it wasn't worth taking the chance. Thursday they told us we have a play off game on Monday. I told them I was sorry we would be out of town. He doesn't care about it anyway! That will just be a fuss I can avoid!

Grayce made the All-Star team. That was/is announced today! I already knew but I was sworn to secrecy! I hate keeping secrets! We are taking a week off to go to the beach and then we will be all softball again!

We are still going on our trip but we will be about 10 days behind. I think our friends in Canada are a little disappointed in having to wait two more weeks but they just want to see us!

Today I had to go to Macon about one of our rentals, YUK! Now I am blogging like I have nothing else to do! I should be packing but I will do that tomorrow before we leave! HA!

Wednesday!

Well, this week just went to you know where in a hand basket!

Our game got rained out Monday! There was a 30% chance of rain when we left for the ballfield. It came a monsoon! It was thundering and lighting and pouring down rain. So we packed up and went home.

We already had a game scheduled for Tuesday so they rescheduled that one for Thursday. We get to the field and they tell us no game Thursday we are going to play Wednesday! Fine.

So we played Tuesday. Grayce pitched. She is such a good pitcher. I will never be able to relax with her on the mound. Cydney played den keeper and in between she filmed the game. She is a great "mother"! James Brian just runs around with his friends!

This morning at 8:00, the coach calls me and says that game is canceled and we play on Friday! We already had our party scheduled for Friday so now I have to rearrange that!

Now tonight we don't have a game but the other two teams play each other so we are going to watch! Brian likes it as much as we do because is said he would leave work early to go with us! WOW!

I have been cleaning house all day because we are going to the beach on Monday!

I don't know what I will blog about when ball is over!

The girls are enjoying not going to school. Cydney sleeps till lunch everyday! Grayce wants to go to work with her daddy!

James Brian is wearing the cats out and the cats are wearing me out! When I go to the beach the are going to learn to live in the yard like God meant for animals to do. Those silly things hop right up on my table and make their self at home! They still are cute, though!

I guess that all the excitement until tomorrow!

Ball Game Day!

This week is it!

We won't be home until late today and I have to go work at the dealership so I am blogging now. Beside everyone has a friend over and I didn't want to clean house! I am sure Brian is loving that!

We have enjoyed our first real day off from school. I was awake before 6:30! I laid in bed until James Brian woke up and he even watched tv for a while. He is loving his new kitty and they really are cute. They act like they are excited to see us. James Brian changed his cats name to Jerry(like tom and jerry).

We had to take Cyd's phone to the repair shop today. I guess she will be without it for a day or two. I hope she doesn't explode. I told her we had the house phone. She told me I had cut off the outside world. Whatever!

I think G has decieded to play All Stars this year. She orignally said she wouldn't play but now she wants to. One of the dads on the team told her there was no use in his daughter signing up if Grayce wasn't going. I guess they have as good a chance as any and the World Series is in Louisanna this year so if by some chance we got that far we wouldn't have to travel quite so far. Cydney said where they gonna play, in the swamp! That does kind of put a kink in our travel plans but I told her we would still go we just had to move the dates around. Plus one of Cydneys boyfriends sister would be on the all stars with us so she will enjoy herself! Girls!

I checked into flying this morning. It was only $94.00 each way per person. So we might just fly to Minnesota, buy a car and drive to Canada and then home. I am not sure yet. I have to see how Brian feels about it! Plus I am not sure he can buy from a dealer that far away!

I am watching Little House on the Prairie. I swear that show wasn't so sad when I was a little girl but it is just ridiculous now.

I colored my hair. I look like Elvira! I swear the box said brown and the picture on top of the box was brown but on me it is black! It probably isn't as dark as I think it has just be a while since I haven't had blonde in it. I think I will leave it this way for a while.

Well I am even boring my self now. So until tomorrow.....

Sunday!

Today I got nothing done!

I tried to catch the laundry up last night because I think I didn't do any for two or three days! Sometimes I am just not in the mood!

This morning we went to Sunday school and church. James Brian was awake before 6:30! Now tomorrow I will be awake and 6 and he will sleep until 9:00.

We came home from church and Brian cooked up a burger on the grill. Then we went to Kaylie's graduation party at a pool in Centerville. We had fun and there was lots of food. Her mom made it really nice for her. The pool at this place was like the ones they have at Disney World! That grouchy coach was there. I was nice and spoke to him. His daughter saw Grayce and told her friend she's a Krusher!

Then we came home and Jacob came over. James Brian and Grayce both went down to their house. Jacobs sister is G's age.

Brian worked in the yard. He is nasty.

I need to go work at the dealership on some financial stuff for Ford. I can't do it while everyone is there because they are too noisy and everyone keeps talking to me. I should probably go tonight in case it takes two or three days but I really want to color my hair!

I guess thats all for today.
