Well this is it!
Not really it I suppose. That would be Saturday when the games begin. We are packed and just getting the final things in the car. We have practiced everynight this week and last night the team went out to dinner after practice. Cydney is more excited and has more fun than Grayce I think! Yesterday was my birthday so that sung Happy Birthday to me at the resturant, twice!
We took the cats to my friend Susan this morning so she can cat sit. Susan is afraid I won't come back and get them. I have to Grayce and James Brian would be mad at me.
I guess thats it for now. Keep is in your prayers. Pray for our safety and a safe and happy trip. say an extra prayer for me. Cydney will be driving some and I will be in the car with Brian! We don't pray to win.
I am going to take the laptop but I am not sure I will have time to blog!
Until next time...

Not Much To Tell Today
Nothing exciting to tell you.
We had ball practice tonight. We leave for Louisiana on Thursday. Opening Ceremonies on Friday night and first game is Saturday at 10:00AM. Georgia vs. Arkansas! We are excited!
Grayce worked today. Cydney kept her night shirt on until time to go to practice. What would you give to be 15 again!
Everything else just revolved around getting ready to go.
More later....

Car Washing Day!
Don't get too excited I didn't wash any cars. Today we had a carwash at Chick Fil A at 8:30! Brian has to work so he didn't wash either. Our coach and some other parents worked like crazy. I didn't just kept counting money. We earned over $1400.00 in 5 hours! Brian wants me to get a job washing cars every weekend! It was too hot but if you think about how much money you make an hour then I am willing to compromise!
I can't remember how I got to be head bee keeper, den mother, go to girl with every problem on the team but here I am. I was Rob's den mother and apparently since he got the head coaching job I just got to go with him. Lucky me. Now I have to figure out how to divide up $6000.00 fairly with the people who worked and the people who haven't. I have a plan I just hope by Wednesday that the money will come rolling in and I won't have to worry about everything being split up evenly. I can just pay everybodys way and not worry about it. The bad thing is one of the children who needs the most help isn't getting any at home. Her dad isn't in the picture and her mom and grandmother both died so her granddaddys take care of her. It is really a sad situation and I have given her as much instruction as I can but hopefully it will just come together!
Brian and the girls are going shopping tonight. James Brian and I are staying home. If he would go to bed at a decent time I could clean the bathrooms. Justin has been with his cousin from out of town for two days and hasn't been able to play. I need Justin here to let me get some rest!
James Brian can wear a Mickey Mouse gown we got at WDW. It was Cyd's then G's now he is wearing it but for him we are calling it a night shirt not a gown.
We all got sunburned today. If your life isn't right just spend the day out in the sun washing cars and then you'll be convinced there is a heaven and hell!
I guess that is it for now. I am about to fall asleep sitting up in this chair.
Until tomorrow...

All Work, No Play! It's Catching Up With Me!
I just, two days ago, told Brian's uncle Bobby that we had not been sick all summer. Then guess who gets sick! Me! I went to the doctor this morning but I can spell what I have but I have a drug, I can't spell that word either, so I will be fine in a couple of days. I am glad it is me and not one of the children! I am sure it is because we don't sleep good around here and we go all the time. Only two more weeks and it will all be over except the crying!
James Brian is ready for school. He keeps asking me how much longer. I am happy that he is happy but I am not looking forward to it! Cydney misses her friends and I think she is bored and Grayce hasn't had time to be bored. The girls still have their summer reading to do but personally I don't see that happening. The books are so boring. Cydney tries to make me think she is going to read on the way to Louisiana, whatever! She is driving, I am reading!
We are supposed to practice tonight but hopefully it will rain! We canceled practice last night and it never did rain so I am sure it will rain tonight if we don't cancel. Monday we practiced for an hour and then a storm came. The Bearden's went to Red Lobster for supper. It was good and it was nice for us all to sit down and eat. Sometime during that storm lighting must have hit the house because the Garage Door Opener is messed up, the phone went out, 2 TV's and the cordless phone and answering machine are screwed up.
I finally rented my trailer in Gray. I am glad to have that thorn out of my side but we are going to have to spend money on the air conditioner. Now I have another one that is empty. The people just up and moved out! That is okay, I get to keep the deposit!
I went to grocery shop early this morning but got interupted because Ford Credit had to see my car. Now I have some errands to run but I was waiting on the phone man. He has now come and gone but I wanted to finish what I was doing. Now I can leave!
So, until next time...

WORLD SERIES BOUND!
Now that we have earned our trip to the World Series we have to earn our way!
Saturday the ball team girls with Cydney leading the way and James Brian helping the best he could bagged groceries at Kroger for tips. They earned just short of $1,000.00. I had no idea people would be so good to them. We only had one accident, we dropped a bottle of wine, and some old woman had a breakdown over it. She obviously needed a drink. It all worked out and the cashiers we so sweet. Don't worry the bag boys are paid by the hour and they aren't suppposed to accept tips so we didn't take anything from them.
I tried to quit my job as den mother and equipment manager but I can't find anyone to accept the job. I know Brian will be glad when ball is over.
Brian helped coach the regular season but this is his first time as a committed full time coach and his team is going to the World Series. That is a pretty good record don't you think!
Cydney got a little dose of reality when she would carry groceries out and someone wouldn't tip her. Our coach who is a manager at Kroger said he would hire her for after school but she figured out real fast she had it made too good to get a job!
All the children are still in bed. I just told the girls to wake up. Brian is golfing but he will meet us at church. I cleaned up the kitchen and worked on my financial statement already this morning so I am feeling good about myself today.
My cousin Chase worked on my blog again and took off that junk that I put on it. I tried to get him to add to my blog-Life and times of a single man- I thought it might be more interesting but I can't get him to agree.
After our day at Kroger we went over to a friends house for swimming and a fish fry. I hate to admit it but I don't think I have ever had "wild" fish cooked outside before. I think my only fish experience has been at Captain D's or the school cafeteria. I am sure I just can't remember. I remember going fishing as a little girl but I don't remember eating it. I am so sad!

It's Been A Long Few Days!
Well after the busy day Monday it has only gotten worse!
We played ball Monday at 7:00, we won. So then we had to go back Tuesday at 6:00. We won and since it is double elimanation we had to beat that team two times. We did! So now Grayces team is the State of Georgia Champions. Our next trip is to the World Series in Alexandria, Louisanna. We out scored the other team 78 to 9 runs over the course of the tournament. It actually isn't true World Series because we only play against 12 other teams. I don't know what happens after you win against all the USA teams. I guess we will cross the bridge when we come to it! I failed to mention that we had to be at the ballfield an hour and half before the game started and then they last a couple of hours so we have been getting home at 12:30 and 1:00 each night. I tried to sleep late but it just isn't going to happen. I feel better when I get up and get moving early anyway!
Wednesday we had a parent pow wow at the ball field to try and figure out how to pay for our trip to the World Series. Anyone who feels led to make a donation to the Perry Junior League just let me know!
Today was Brians day off but he felt like he should go to work and I have spent most of the day on the phone with ball people or trying to rent my trailer. I did have time to fix supper and the children are eating now. I ate as I cooked.
I have another financial statement hanging over my head that I am going to check over tonight if I have to stay up all night.
Shannon put in her notice at the dealership but she didn't tell me yet. If she reads this blog she will know I know and then we will see what happens. She is going to move away and I have known it was going to happen but she is a dear friend and I will miss her terribly. That is just another trip I will have to make over the summer.
I told my friends the Orrs we couldn't come to Canada yet. I really want to go and was looking forward to it for two years now. Brian says he will help us get there some how.
I will post some pictures when I figure out how to get them off my friend Christy CD! I already messed up my blog once and my dear and awesome cousin Chase had to fix it for me. You'll notice while he had my password and log in information he helped himself to a post. He is a silly boy! Thanks for your help Chase. I love you!
The girls are still helping at the dealership.
James Brian played with Jacob today but he still had rather play with Justin.
Cydney did get her room clean. It only took her all day to hang up her clothes. She says she has nothing to wear but if she would dig thru her closet, that isn't big enough, she probably would find a whole new wardrobe!
Until next time....

My Cousin is AWESOME
I have the greatest cousin in the entire world. His name is Chase. If you are a hot female between 20 and 30 years old and single, you should definitely get in touch with him.

KYLE BUSCH
Whats up with him.
Everytime I go to bed and there is a race on I wake up and that stinker has won again. I am still not a fan but I am leaning that way. You have to give the boy credit!
I still love Carl but I don't know what is happening with that team. I just dont' even try to keep up anymore.
I still think it us funny that Kyle got shafted last year and is kicking butt!
Oh, I heard Thunder Road is back open in Dawsonville, Does anyone know for sure. It would be fun it the only thing they had in there was Elliott stuff.
Go Carl!

Monday, Here We Go Again!
I have just about had my feel of softball and I know Brians employees are tired of it and I suspect even Wayne and Margarett are tired of it!
If I can remember everything over the weekend I will try to feel you in!
Grayce had an orthopedic dr appt on Thursday. James Brian wanted to stay with Justin so I took him to his house at 7:30 in the morning. Well G got sick, throw up sick, so we had to come home. She didn't think she could ride in the car to Macon. She got feeling better after lunch. Softball is terrible on her nerves. We are trying to work that out.
Friday was uneventful. We had batting practice and ate a hotdog supper at our sponsors house. That was fun to get to visit with everyone without the pressures of softball.
Saturday we started the State Playoffs. This is big business. If we win this tournament we go to the World Series in Alexandria, Louisanna. It isn't as big a deal of Little League but it is important to the girls. Even Cydney takes it so seriously.
Well, that was a long day. Our day started at 4:00AM when Grayce woke up sick. I was fixing waffles at 4:30 for her and James Brian! Then we went to Kroger, Waffle House and met the team at 7:00AM. We had to drive to Jasper County which is Monticello, Georgia. The other team didn't know they played at 10:00 so we had to wait on them. It was a long day and then we lost! I don't have enough space to tell you all the details of the day but anyway we did lose. So then on Sunday we had to play at 2:00. We got there and got ready and it came a Monsoon. They finally got the field half dried out so we played at 5:00! Now we have to go back today for a game at 7:00. If we lose it is over. If we win we go back tomorrow for a game at 6:00 and another behind that one! I am just about to limit with this ball playing!
This morning Grayce had her rescheduled drs appointment at 8:30 in Macon. The doctor was running late so we finally got out of there at about 10:00. Then we went to the bank, the athletic store for Brian, steak and shake for JB(that isn't on my diet plan this week) and then to the carlot to see Brian.
I am in the process of getting their uniforms clean so we can leave the house at 3:30 to go back to Monticello, the home of Trisha Yearwood by the way!
We want to pack for our trip to Canada but if we have to go to Louisanna we won't be going to Canada. So I will just sit here and wait. Cydney cleaned her room today just in case!
Until next time...

Nothing Better to Do!
Now I have a slight problem. In order for you and me to be able to read the text I need to type it in white. Well I can't proofread white type! Plus if you read it on this background your eyes kind of do funny things!
We are still practicing ball. This weekend is the state tournament. If we lose then it is over. If we win we continue on to the the World Series in Louisanna. Just what I need is 2 more months of softball.
Cydney and G are still taking turns at the dealership working. Grayce wasn't feeling good today she didn't stay long and Cydney went in early. JB went to Justins house so I ran errands.
My day started at 6:00 this morning. Some summer vacation that is huh? The uniforms didn't get ordered so I had to meet the coach and the ordering person at 7:30 this morning.
Tomorrow is G's doctors appt about her knee so we have to leave here at 7:30. No rest for the weary! I don't care one day they will be gone!
Now to the nothing better to do. Actually I have a ton of things better to do. What I should have said was nothing I wanted to do. So I changed my blog layout. I would change it every couple of days except I lost all the pictures and that was kind of a pain to redo all those. I hate there isn't more pictures of me and Brian. I should just take my camera to the car lot.
If anyone cares Grayce is playing ball in Monticello this weekend. I don't know how far you would have to travel but it is really fun to watch her. I know she would love for you all to come and support her!
I am still trying to rent my "mobile home" in Gray, Georgia. I think if I had 10 houses I could rent them all this week. I also think my ear is going to fall off from answering the phone. Brian was real smart to put my cell phone number. I will get him for that. Actually that is my job so I don't mind.
Oh, just in case anyone cares. I was real disappointed Carl didn't get the win. I don't think they chose the Busch boy to win but I do think the media enjoys a drag race off the turn. Kyle isn't my favorite person but I am glad he is doing good. I think it is liking throwing dirt in Teresas face! Plus as much as people boo him you have to give him credit. He still makes me crazy though!
Until next time...

Errand Day!
I was able to get a bunch of stuff done today.
Grayce went to work with Brian. Cydney stayed home to sleep late. She is my night owl child. She is like her great anuts. She likes to stay up all night long and then sleep all day. (You know who you are!).
Cyd was supposed to swap out with G at 2:00 but decided she would just rest today. Brian took her and Jessica to the lake yesterday, all day long, so its not like she worked out in the yard or anything. I guess that is any teenagers typical summer if their parents let them get away with it! Actually she is supposed to be cleaning her room at some point!
James Brian has Justin over. He is the sweetest child at our house. They play cars all day long. I asked him about having Jacob over but Justin likes cars and doesn't bang them up. All Jacobs car are scratched so JB has a bad attitude about being rough on a car!
Cyd kept the boys while I ran errands. It goes so much faster by yourself and you spend half as much at the grocery store without little helpers!
G has ball practice tonight. Annie is still at daddys and I think she enjoys going to the carlot and hanging out. Plus she gets all the attention! Grayces friend is coming home with us tonight so her mother doesn't have to take her to her grandmothers tomorrow in the AM. I wonder if it would be impolite to call her and ask her if she keeps her house clean? I don't won't to embarress myself! Actually I finally got the laundry room clean and all the stuff in the garage moved to storage so I am moving right along.
I don't know why the bathroom hasn't learned to clean it self yet!
Yesterday at Sunday School we were trying to decide what to study next. Some wanted to do Revelations. I don't. I know about it and I don't plan on living thru it so I suggested we study something revelant to our life now. Well guess what. I have been elected to summarize Revelations and give the class the break down. Lucky me. I am not going to teach it. I am going to summarize. Keep my in your prayers. I am not worried about doing it in front of the class, they are all my friends. The Methodist Church is just different from the Church of God so if I can say one thing to encourage one person to accept Jesus then I will have done good by God. The Methodist Church doesn't have alter call like the COG does so it is a little different to accept Christ. I have even mentioned to the associate pastor how wierd I think it is. Apparently you have to be saved before you attend the Methodist Church! The good thing is I have about two months to prepare and I have a great bible to use and I am going to use and some other reference materials. When I am done I will post my summary for your review. I just don't think it can be done in an hour so I might take two class periods.
Keep me in your prayers.
Until next time....

Happy July 4th!
Now I get to play catch up and I can never remember!
We practiced ball everyday last week.
G had her MRI on her knee on Thursday. We had an appointment in Macon at 8:30 so we left at 7:30, I don't like to be late. When we got there the check in lady didn't have the approval code from the insurance company, so we had to wait. Then she didn't have the orders from the doctors office, so we had to wait. Finally after about and hour and 1/2 we had the MRI. Everything looked good but we won't know until we see the doctor next week.
We went to Atlanta for the Peachtree Road Race on Thursday afternoon. Cydney started out driving and I thought she was doing really good but with all the traffic and police everywhere I had to take over in Forsyth. Then she critiqued my driving the rest of the way! Teenagers!
We stayed at the W hotel in Atlanta. It has been the Sheraton forever. Last year they remodeled and changed the name and up the prices! It reminded my of a gay bar! Not that I know what the inside of a gay bar looks like but it looked like what I imagine a gay bar would look like! They also have some kind of bar there so it was loud and they has stinky candles burning in the lobby. You had to insert your key in the elevator to go anywhere so that was a pain in the butt.
We ate supper at the Spagetti Warehouse in Marietta. It was pretty good, if you like spagetti! Then we made our usual stop at publix and barnes and noble. I had forgot something so I had to run back into publix. Daddy went to marta to get a bus pass for Friday morning. About that time he realized he had forgotten his race ticket. The worst part is I thought about asking if he remembered it when they were driving down the road. I also thought he wouldn't forgot the most important part of the day, but he did! Well good ole Brian met him halfway with his ticket. Brian started one way and daddy started toward him. You know how that works. We finally go to bed. I slept terrible. The children couldn't get settled. It was just a typical night.
We get up the next morning, July 4th. We got to the road just in time to see daddy. Margarett and Cydney then started toward the finish line to meet up with him. Grayce and JB were "starving" so I spent $30.00 in the lobby on a fruit cup, 2 cokes and a little box of cereal. We started walking down the street to meet them. We were on two different streets so we never did meet up. Finally we come back to the room. We eat breakfast at Hueys every year. Sometime this year they closed up shop so that ruined that. Daddy had parked his car at the marta station to save the $28.00 garage fee. We tried to get the car and couldn't get across the street because they had the road blocked. We ended up at IHOP. It was so good. We were finally able to get the car.
The children and I went to visit my grandparents and to pick up Annie. She had lunched fixed and it was yummy. I wished I had brought the left over cornbread home! Now I am the favorite granddaughter again because I stayed longer than Melissa did! HA!
We finally left to come home. Cydney drove almost all the way. She drove thru downtown Atlanta like a champ. I was so proud. She finally got tired about Macon. Just in time for the road work and rain. Which was probably best anyway.
We finally got home about 7:00. Just in time for the race. Brian acted glad to see us. I know we missed him.
I am having second thoughts about going to Canada. I don't think I want to be away from home and Brian for two weeks!
Now Annie is bored already, James Brian is hollering for Justin to come over and I need a nap! We don't have ball today or tomorrow so I think I am going to clean house! Yea Me.
Until next time....
