Danny is the lead singer from the group rehab. They play them on satellite radio. It is Rob's brother in law. He is our own personal rockstar. He is also Brian and Rob's partner in crime. I tried to post the link to his video with Hank Williams Jr but I couldn't do it. Just youtube it. Be careful the uncut version of the "bartender" song is a little nasty!
They just released a new song called 1980 that is really good. Keep listening for it.

Cydney and Danny

I hate playing catch up!
I mean how can I top Brian getting thrown out of the ballgame.
Wednesday I had lunch with daddy and Brian. That was most unusual to have both of them sit down at the same time. So that was the excitement of the day.
Everyday we have soccer and at least one ball practice.
One day this week Cydney was out of dress code. I had to take her another shirt. Then I came back home and a couple of hours later G called and I had to take her some medicine. (the school didn't have the right kind). So I made four trips to school in one day.
Thursday Cydney fell and hit her head at soccer practice. We went straight to softball practice. G's team was already practicing. She got sick so I called her doctor they said take her to the emergency room. We waited two hours and they didn't call one patient back. The hospital in WR was busy so they were sending the emergencies to Perry. A short time later they came out and said it will be a while they are sending three ambulances to us. So we left.
Both girls had test on Friday they hadn't studied enough for so I took JB to school Came home and got them ready and took them to school. Cydney still had a headache and was a little dizzy so I called her doctor and they said bring her right now. She was at school exactly 15 minutes. We had to have a CAT scan at the hospital. She is fine but has to miss a couple of days of sports.
(I went to the school 4 times that day, too!)
Grayce was asked to play on an AAU girls travel basketball team. We said no. There isn't any time slots available!
The softball coach at Westfield found out Cydney is playing softball at Perry Junior League and wanted to know why she was playing at school. She expects her on the team next fall!
My cousin Steven came to visit. We had supper with them last night at the Mellow Mushroom. The food was good but it was too loud and too many people. He has the prettiest wife and his children are just beautiful. Marc and Lynn, Lynsey(Lyn's oldest daughter) and Hayden were there. Wayne and Margarett and my whole family. We had a nice visit.
James Brian spent the night with Justin. He has been asking to for a couple of weeks but his sister shows cows and they were gone early on Saturdays. So Vicki called me on Thursday and said what were we doing this weekend and I said James Brian is spending the night with you! She said okay. She is just that kind of friend.
It is storming here right now and is supposed to snow next week. Isn't
that crazy. It won't snow so I am not worried about that but I am sure the milk and bread are gone off the shelves at the grocery store already. I love to hear the thunder. Brian said the city called and ask him to get the trucks ready to clear the roads. He was joking of course. He thinks he is so funny.
I just finished a Janet Evanovich book. She is so funny. There was a man in the book named Elmer the fire farter. Every time he passed gas he caught something on fire. I haven't laughed at something so stupid in ages.
We are having a tornado warning and I am blogging. I don't know what else to do expect watch out the window for the wind!
Enjoy your weekend.
Maria, Steven and Patrick, he is 6, his birthday is in November right before JB's in January. Anthony is 3. (Isabella is expected in May)

BRIAN GOT KICKED OUT OF THE GAME!!!
Basketball season is finally over.
We played in Warner Robins and got some really bad calls. Brian, Robert and Danny had finally had enough and started yelling. Really loud at the refs.
G kept getting knocked around and fouled and pushed around and he had all he could take. So he told the ref to open his eyes (as she is laying on the ground) and the ref said leave. Then Robert said learn the game and the ref said leave and then Danny said you Suck and the ref said you leave.
Grayce was proud her daddy took up for her. James Brian thought it was cool. He said he never saw that in real life only on tv!
I think Brian has some of it on film I will get downloaded later.
Goodnight!

If anybody wants to sign up, I am a distributor.
zogetics.com
I know the man, very well, who started the company. He is a friend of mine. Our children go to school together and play sports together. His son and G are in the same class.
He does things right. This just isn't locally. It will go world wide. You better become a distributor before it is too late.

I am supposed to be working!
I was needed at the dealership this morning to help answer the phone. WM and MM had a funeral to go to. WM was speaking. Melissa and I are going to start calling him the reverend! He said to me you don't think I can preach I said all your children think you can preach but I don't know about everyone else!
So here I sit blogging waiting for Brian to take me to lunch. I have drank 20 gallons of water since I came home from skiing trying to lose the weight I gained drinking coke all day long for four days. I still think it was worth it. Now I am going to lunch out. I just need an IV of water that I could just have attached and carry around all the time like some people carry oxygen.
Last night we had bb practice and soccer practice at the same time. Before bb was over we left to get to softball practice on time. Tonight Cyd has soccer and G has a game at 8:00. This could be the last game or I would stay home. I know I will be ready for bed before the game ever starts. I wonder would in be inappropriate to wear PJ's to the game?
It is still freezing at our house. I usually love winter but I can never get warm anymore.
James Brian wants bunk beds. Why do all little children want bunk beds? G said she would sleep with him if we got them. We are going to look at them after school today.
James Brian told me my hair had a rainbow in it. What is it with men and hair these days?
Melissa would say I was ramblin. May the force be with you.....

Then he ask: What is your real hair color??

Blogging isn't so much fun anymore!
I am getting bored with the whole blogging thing. No one leaves me comments anymore so I am not really sure anybody is really reading this.
I tried facebook. I don't really understand the object of the game. It seems to me you just sign up and wait for people to ask you to be their friend. Or if you have time you can search out your old friends. Naa, I have enough friends. That sounds really rude but I can't sit around and chat I had rather call them on the phone while I am dangerously speeding down the road!
We went to Sunday school and church this morning. Came home and ate lunch and now Brian and G have gone to get new cleats.
I should be picking up the house because I didn't do anything yesterday and if I don't do it today it will take all day tomorrow and I might need to go shopping.
Yesterday was crazy. Cydney had ball practice at 10:30, I thought it was at 10:00 so we were early! She was mad because I got her up early! JB had a basketball game at 12:00, a bb party right after that. Grayce had bb practice at 3:00 and softball practice at 7:30. In between that my friend Shannon who moved to TN in August came to visit. Cydney had Zach over. Zach left Cole came over. (He isn't my favorite). I let them go out to eat. They had one hour because I don't care for him. On the way home they got pulled over by the police and Cydney still isn't sure if I set it up or not! He didn't get a ticket. (If that tells you anything).
My cousin Steven called last night and wants to come and visit this weekend. He only lives in Athens but we just never see each other. I spent all my summers with his family, well until my cousin Chase was born and then I stayed with him. By the time Brittany, Chase's sister, was born I was old enough to drive so I had other things on my mind. Melissa took over!
We have basketball and soccer practice Monday. Playoff came Tuesday, Softball practice on Wednesday and Thursday.(soccer practice is everyday after school). That is how life goes and will continue to chug along until May!
Justin and JB are playing cars. They are so cute I can hear the engines going!
What about Kyle Busch. He is getting on my nerves already. He is cheating they just haven't figured it out how yet. I am still looking forward to the race this afternoon.
If you need me I will be in the laundry room!

We are home Safe!

Safe being the key word in that sentence!
I told G that if her daddy knew what kind of snow and ice I was driving it he would have told me to sit still he would be there in a little while to get me.
We left Sunday afternoon about an hour late. We took two charter buses and one broke down before we ever left.
The bus drivers were so kind to me. They watched out for me and made sure I was safe the whole time. Yesterday, Wednesday morning, the weather was really bad and at one point they called me to check on because they couldn't see me!
We drove across the mountain and it probably had eight inches of ice built up be it wasn't slick so the buses kept going and I just kept following them.
G and I had our own motel room. It was great. The children were really well behaved. I was glad to be home but apparently Brian, JB and Cyd did just fine without me. The house was clean, the laundry done and the kitchen was clean. I feel like Anut B in the Andy Griffin show. I was dreading the mess but I am a little disappointed they got along so well without me!
We rushed in to G's last basketball, playoff start next week. JB has bb tonight, Cyd has soccer tonight and it won't stop until August.
Looking at the pictures you can't tell how good G did ski. She did wonderful and loved it and is ready to go back and take everyone!

Happy Valentine's Day

Everyone is home safe. They had a big time. Jason wanted to get together but Brian didn't want to leave daytona at 2 or 3 in the morning. They already decided next year they are going Thursday and not coming home until after the big race on Sunday.
Grayce lost her game. I don't have anything else to blog about. We are packing up to go skiing! I could dread it for a little bit. 71 people total, GRRRR.

Duals at Daytona
Cydney, Brian and James Brian have gone to the race. They got to Daytona about 1:00 this AM. Brian took them riding down the beach this morning. Cyd didn't want to drive. I told her my daddy let me drive down the beach at night when I was 15. I had to take Michael with me and I was driving the world largest Crown Victoria but I didn't care. Matter of fact some people probably thought a ship had run a shore!
Brian couldn't make up his mind on a motel. I booked a room for him. I wanted Cyd to be able to see the ocean. Well I booked a place where we stayed when I was little. Brian said it was clean but it was built during the Civil War!
G and I are on vacation! Well, not really vacation but it has been quiet around here. Even in the car this morning Grayce said wow it is quiet!
I dropped Cyd and JB off at the carlot and took G to practice last night. It was weird coming home to an empty quiet house. I kind of thrive in the chaos that is our home!
Cyds friend came over last night for a couple of hours to tell her bye. I am taking his picture next time he is here I don't care if they fuss. He is so cute. He came to me and hugged me and said thanks for letting me come over. I still don't want her to know I like him!
Tonight G's game is at 8:00. Her daddy will miss it. I don't think he has ever missed a game. She is excited because she is taking her friend Wade. He isn't a boyfriend. He used to be but he isn't right now and he wanted to see her play so we have to drive by his house to get to the school so we are picking him up. Boys! GRRR!
I talked to my mother in law on the phone for a while today. We had a nice conversation. My brother in law got hit by a car at Daytona last week(not bad) and Lori was telling her it didn't break his legs and Mary said it should have which sounded really mean but that isn't what she meant. So I had a good laugh and now that I think about it, it is still really funny!
I had breakfast at Cracker Barrell with my friend Emily. I have cleaned out the kitchen closet. Bought groceries and I am in the process of changing sheets. It is still early enought I can go shopping!
Maybe I should start thinking about what I am going to take Skiing instead of waiting until the last minute. I hate to clutter up my room with suitcases!
Until next time...

WOW! What a crazy few days!

Thursday: All the children went back to school. Just when I thought I was going to lose it! Then Brian took his day off. After a couple of hours in the house I had to go run some errands. He messes me up. Interrupts my routine! I cooked supper and we attempted to sit down and eat together. So much for that.
Friday: Justins mom is still out of town. He grandmother called before my kids were out of school to see if JB could play. That just made my day! After a few hours I noticed he was grouchy and he told me he had an ear ache. So after Justin left I took him to the doctor. Yes, it was 9:00PM when we got there. They stayed open until 10. He has bronchitis. I was going to take him to the doctor this week anyway because he has a cough that has lasted as long as I care to put up with it.
As I got off the expressway there were tons of police cars. A toddler was found wondering around a gas station in his bare feet and no coat. While they were looking for a parent at a motel a solider committed suicide. It was a big mess. The babys mom reported him missing 3 hours after the police found him. She is in jail this morning!
Saturday: Basketball all day. Grayce at 11:00. JB stayed with Justin. Her team won. Then we came to Perry picked up the boys and went to JB's game. Dana arrived. Yipee! Then we went to Westfield, the girls school, to see Michael, their Uncle, my brother, play in the alumni basketball game. He is so out of shape. The boys(Michael, Brian the guys from the carlot)used to play basketball one day a week. They don't do that anymore and it shows! Naturally we watch the Bud shoot out to finish up the night.
Sunday: We went to church and Sunday school. Then to the grocery store to pick up something for lunch. Dana and Grayce baked cookies. I didn't do anything. Brian, Cydney and Grayce went to the field with Robert, MacKenzie, David and Kayla to practice softball. I watched Dana clean out my cabinets. Yes, I watched. She is pyscho house cleaner. She doesn't have as much stuff as I have, as much clutter. The truth is she is a better organizer than I am. She can clean out a drawer and organize it and I can do the same thing and hers just looks better!
Now Monday afternoon: Dana has gone. I have been to the grocery store. We ran out of waffles and hell hath no furry like an eleven year old with no waffles for breakfast.
I just got a call they need me at work! Oh, joy. I love to be needed, though!
I think we have the night off so it would just be grand to get my supper cooked early.

Two sick children!
We like to use our sick days to go to the beach or Disney World or the mall!
Grayce was feeling better yesterday afternoon and then all of the sudden she had a fever of 102 again! I think James Brian was really sick this morning. He loves school but he just kept saying his tummy hurt. He is the child who wakes up and says I am ready to put my clothes on. We need to leave at 7:30. So last time he was sick and I made him go I said I would remember that!
He is feeling better and I let him play with Jacob only because I was tired of playing. Grayce has still been laying around all day. She did ask for her work to be brought home but they couldn't get it together quick enough so now she will have that hanging over her head the rest of the week and all weekend.
When I was in school if you missed you just missed. Now days you are expected to make it up and turn it in within three days. It is even in the handbook.
G has basketball practice tonight. I am going to let her go but not play. She can just sit and listen.
G's coach called and told me she made the all star team. Now we have Cydney playing soccer at school, Grayce playing basketball, the rec league, it looks like her team is going to make the playoffs so she will have that team to practice with, she will have to practice with the all star team. Both girls will have to practice softball. Plus James Brian still has a few games left. It is a good thing JB isn't playing anything else.
I live by my calender. It is a nice book kind that is about 8 1/2 X 11. It has big squares to right all the activites for the day in. Brian bought me a palm pilot before and my new phone has a calender but I have to have all month in front of me at once. Monday I bought Brian a nice big calender for his desk. The problem is I can't keep both of them up and the squares aren't going to be big enough. Besides that he is yelling at me for putting so many miles on my car. I don't know what people do who have more than three children. Don't let this sound like I am complaining. I love it and have just as much fun as the children! I know it is fun because I have athletic children. I am sure my parents didn't enjoy me playing very much! I am sure they really wanted to enjoy it but I am not very athletic, have I mentioned that 100 times before! I got it, I got it, clunk right in the nose!
I have my assignment for the ski trip. I get to take pictures. That sounds fun and safe. I have to figure out how to transfer the pictures from the camera to a disk. Chase, I guess I will need you for that!
By the way. That name is JUNIOR, not J-R!
As Cydney would say PEACE!

I have to tell this one!
All of our family knows we named James Brian the second, James Brian Bearden, II because I didn't want him called Jr or little Brian.
He has a friend at the rec department who is a little black boy named Jr. He is really sweet and they play on the same team. The childs real name is Michael but someone told him Michael was a white boy name so now he goes by Jr. I ask his mother did she not think Jr was a white boy name.
Anyway JB says to me this afternoon "Why don't you call me Jr." I tell him I don't like that name and he is not a Jr he is a second. Daddy is the first and he is the second (he knows this we have had the discussion before) What does that mean? That means there are two of you. Okay but can you call me JR. NO! Okay can you call me Dale?
God Bless NASCAR!

Nothing today.
Grayce is sick. She missed school on Monday. Her pediatrician couldn't get to her until 4:00 so I took her to the Med stop. Big Mistake. It took us 3 1/2 hours. The truth is it probably would have taken almost that long at the doctors office.
She had a game last night she didn't want to miss. When I was in school if you missed school you missed your after school activities. We broke the rule. I drugged her up with Motrin and she was able to play. She usually plays the whole game but she only played 1/2 this time. You could tell she didn't feel good because she didn't get into a fight with one person this time.
James Brian has a game tonight. Then if nothing happens we are off for two nights. I have supper in the crock pot and have started laundry. G is still home sick but right this minute she isn't causing any trouble she is just laying in bed!
Dana is coming to see me this weekend. I have to get the house straight!

Super Bowl Sunday, Who Cares!

We don't really care about the superbowl. I didn't even know who was playing in it until Thursday when I ask someone.
Last year we went to the Johnson's house for a party. Well not really a party more like supper. How much of a party is there when you have 7 children in the mix. Anyway we don't get to see them alot because our ball schedules don't work out exactly right. Anyway I called David and invited us to his house for supper last week. So we got to spend the evening with them. We had fun, we always do. I was pulling for the cardinals for politically incorrect reason until this morning when I saw Hines Ward was on the Steelers. He was a Georgia Bulldog. So I am happy they won!
I haven't figured out how to put the pictures where I want them. David James is blowing in his shirt, it makes a print in the heat. Who know he is 15 and easily amused.
David is popping popcorn in the fireplace. I told him it would be easier to do in in the microwave and he told me that wasn't any fun. MEN!
Ellie and Gracie Johnson smiling for the camera. The other picture is everyone doing what they do best. Sitting and talking!
There is one other man in the picture, that is Ramsey. His daddy is the Ford dealer in Hawkinsville. Isn't that wierd. Cydneys friends don't understand how we can all be friends!
