This time is was G's team who played. They did really good. They won 3rd place and brought home a nice trophy(there was only four teams!) But she had fun. It was hot but even though the car registered exactly the same thing as last week it didn't feel as hot. This time we went to Millegeville and they had nice covered seating and you could feel the win blow occasionally.
James Brian stayed with daddy all day so he didn't have to be miserable.
We have been to Sunday school this morning. We skipped church. Brian, G and I went to wal mart while Cydney and JB waited in the car.
We have had lunch and put away the grocerys so now it is time to do all the things didn't get done last week.
We are looking forward to the peachtree road race this weekend. Actually I am just looking forward to staying in a motel and getting to eat out!
Enjoy the day!

It happened, It took a month and I had bet two weeks
but Cydney got pulled over for speeding. She was going 72 in a 55 and the officer said she was just gaining speed because she was trying to catch the car in front of her. (Who just happened to be Zach).
The police officer took her drivers license. Brian took her car. So now I have to chauffer her around again. The funny thing is she is back to not driving. She doesn't have a permit at all. Back to ground zero. She didn't get a ticket and will most likely get her license back next week but Brian said he was not letting her drive her car and he was taking it to the lot and if we sold it she would just have to drive pot luck! Pot luck is not a good thing. The worse part was when the police officer called our house. It scared us to death. I hope she has learned a lesson. I took them to bible school this morning and picked them up. A friends mom took her to a birthday party this afternoon. Brian is picking her up. If nothing else she is embarrased.
Now about softball. This is it! Really! Last year I told Coach Rob that I would not do his stuff again. But I let him sucker me into it because Brian was helping coach!
Then since I was doing G's team. I wanted to do Cyd's team. Several weeks ago I said I was managing both teams again so I could be sure they got the numbers they wanted. Well guess what. That is not a good enough reason. (Plus if I do it I know it is done correctly). But, this is it! Last night I got called to a meeting at 7:30. I had to stop reading my book and get redressed to go! Then I was informed I had to have all the papers filled out by Saturday at 9AM! We have a tournament Saturday so I have to find someone to turn my stuff in!
Tonight we have practice. Brian ate lunch really late so I am out of cooking supper, Yea ME!
I guess thats it!

Only two more days of VBS left!
I have been so looking forward to VBS so that I could accomplish something! I should have know that would be a joke. Lets be honest. I get up early and get alot done but right now during the summer I have been pretty useless after lunch! At least during the school year I am good up until 3:30!
Yesterday I went to curves and then ran errands. Today I went to curves and then to the car lot to work. I don't think I did anything except my own personal stuff! I did get some co-op advertising stuff done for Brian.
Tomorrow Brian is supposed to be off but he already said he had to work so he could take off Saturday for G's tournament in Milledgeville. I have big plans for tomorrow. I think I might go to curves and then I do have a list of errands to run. I was actually going to leave the lot early today and do that but the other office help went to lunch and I just don't feel right about leaving the office unattended!
Cydney and Grayce have gone to walmart, the sporting good store and the craft store for me. I love her driving! Lucky me I get to iron on numbers on 12 tshirts tonight. Our uniforms aren't ready and to play in a game you have to have a shirt with a number.
Daddy took JB, Grayce and I took Mexican again today for lunch. Brian came home about 4 and ate so I don't have to cook tonight. We don't have any ball practices so we truly have the night off. Janet Evanovich's new book is out. Cydney is picking it up for me. I don't neglect my children to read. I do it in bed at night and the tub, etc. But tonight they will get neglected. (Believe me, my children are far from being neglected!)
I guess thats it. I know you want to hear more about the children but right this minute there just isn't anything to tell!

I love a thunderstorm!
As long as I feel like I am safe! Oh, and I had rather it storm in the day time! Today we have had a nice thunderstorm. It lasted long enough for Cydneys practice to get canceled. G still has practice but her coach wouldn't cancel practice if it was snowing in the middle of June.
I think Brian had a nice fathers day. He took us to lunch. So I had a good fathers day! Brian hates to eat out, I love it, usually the girls just want to go home after church but if we don't eat lunch as a family on Sundays after church we won't sit down at all together all week!
We were all pretty lazy yesterday. Saturday in the heat just wore us all out! They did pitch some and James Brian, Brian and I watched some of the race. I don't like a road course so I kept flipping channels.
The children had VBS today. No one wanted to go but they had to. The girls had signed up to help. James Brian didn't want to go unless they did. The girls left early to get a biscuit. I took JB and then went to the dealership. When they got in the car they said they had fun. I am glad. I always had fun at bible school. I left the carlot after about 10 minutes. I did get a lot done in the house and I will do some more tomorrow. Wednesday I am going to work because Margarett will be keeping Hayden.
Daddy took us to lunch. Now I am thinking about whats for supper.
Justin is finally over playing. I am so glad because JB is ready to go back to school. He ask me at lunch how much longer.
Not much else!

Yes, It can get HOTTER!

We went to a ball tournament in Cordele today. The car said 107. I know that was sitting in the parking lot on asphalt but I am sure to Cydney it felt hotter than that standing in the field. She was a little nervous this morning and would have back out if we let her but she played great, she hit great and now her confidence level is up! She played third base the whole game all three games. She played in the spring but this tournament stuff is new to her. She was cute yesterday when she got her new uniform and new bat bag.
We left the house before 7:00 this morning because our first game was at 9:00. The good thing about that was it was miserably hot yet! We all have tents and chairs and blankets that the parents take but when there isn't any breeze it is hot even under a tent. The girls are wearing long pants and long socks but they handle it really well. We make sure they have plenty of Gatorade and water and none of them complain! We played three games. We played at 9:00, 11:15 and 3:30. Guess what you do in between games. Sit! We all took food and we did eat lunch together and then the girls usually go watch the other teams play. Today both girls had a lot of friends on other teams so that made it interesting.
After the first game JB was ready to go so daddy met Brian in Unadilla and JB babysat daddy the rest of the day. Daddy picked up a four wheeler at the carlot and he wore daddys bicycle helmet so safety!
We are thinking we have another tournament next weekend but I won't know for sure until Monday afternoon. I am responsible for putting this all together!
Brance was ready to go home on Friday so I met Melissa at IKEA in downtown Atlanta. That is the coolest store. I can't wait until school starts back. Brian and I are going there on his first day off! He will love it! After IKEA she took me to Atlantic Station. WOW is it beautiful. It is funny how one side of the interstate is so nice and just across the road it is the hood! Brance wanted to drive a convertible to Atlanta so we did. It wasn't miserable until about 10 minutes before time to get out. James Brian and I rode with the top up and the air on high home!
Grayce found the tent the boys were supposed to sleep in. The good thing is if Margarett gets mad at Wayne he has a place to go! Matter of fact I might borrow that tent sometime!
Well we have had a long hot day so I am going to bed!

I have to hurry before Brian gets home!
If you would see this house you would think they only thing I do is play on the computer all day! With all the running around I have to do there isn't any time to clean!
Luckily we have bible school next week so maybe I can get something done. I doubt it by the time I get threw with exercise and everything else it will be time to pick up the kids! Cydney and Grayce both help but I am sure they will want to go to lunch after that. Isn't it funny how I plan everything around lunch!
Brian swapped days off with Michael because the girls don't have ball practice on Wednesdays. We thought about going somewhere but it really wasn't convenient. So Brian is at work. Grayce is at work, JB and Brance stayed with daddy and Cyd and I ran errands. We actually had a good time together. She drove my car. This week I am driving an expedition. I tried to warn her it was like driving a boat after driving a little car. She and I both had a good laugh over her trying to park and weaving in the road. It isn't just her. It takes a few miles to get used to it again. Then we had lunch at steak and shake. It was nice and quiet!
Now we are waiting on Brian to take the four wheelers to daddy's so they can ride all night I guess!
The boys didn't make it to camp last night. Daddy has to have something to keep the snakes away. He is really a city slicker I don't care what he leads you to believe! The boys say they are camping out tonight but G said granddaddy said he was too tired. I still can't figure why you want to sleep outside when there is no air conditioning!
I am going to attempt to find the floor in the den when everyone gets out of my way!

Can It Get Any Hotter???
I think I just lost 5 pounds sitting outside trying to talk on my cell phone.
The girls both had practice yesterday. I had to take care of some den mother business and I have decided that it gets hotter, earlier every summer.
My nephew, Brance, is here. He and JB play really well together. Actually G is usually in the mix, too! James Brian tried to spend the night with him at grand daddy's but it didn't work out! Tonight they are supposed to camp. I guess grandparents will go to the extreme for the grandchildren!
James Brian went to the dentist this afternoon to have sealants put on his teeth. They are supposed to keep him from getting cavities. I am sure it just a way for the dentist to make $136.00. Cydney is at her appointment now. She didn't want to go because Zach was here but she went anyway. She doesn't argue too much anymore. That car is a powerful discipline tool!
I went to curves this morning. Not fun! I don't understand how the big women burn more calories than I do.
Cydney's team is scheduled to play in a tournament on Saturday. At least three games. I almost dread it. I do have a tent and chairs but it will be so hot! I like to wear Capri's because my legs are so white but I don't think I can Saturday! If they lose the first game they fall to the losers bracket, she could end up playing seven games. Isn't that crazy.
I am going to find something for supper!

It's early, but I am looking forward to no commitments!
Besides the usual ball practice. The house is reasonably clean. James Brian is going to help me go thru his toys in the laundry room.
Cydney parking the the garage lasted one day. She bumped into Brian's tool box. It was kind of funny. Grayce was on the couch and said daddy you better go look I just heard a crash. She just misjudged her distance and bumped the tool box. It didn't hurt anything but it was funny to me not her. Then yesterday Brian moved the jet skis in the garage so no one would bother them. So there went her parking spot!
Brian was off yesterday and he cut grass all day. I finished the financial statement and the children just played all day. Cyd's practice got canceled again but she helped with G's. Zach came over. I did laundry!
I was at the bank when they opened this morning. I already ran some errands and now I guess I will go find something else to do.
We are all looking forward to a beautiful weekend. If nothing happens we are going to the lake. It seems like forever since we spent the day together. Hopefully it will be fun and not turn into a Bearden day(thats when everything that can go wrong does!)
We have had two tragedys in town today. One 18 year old girl driving a mustang hit a man on a motorcycle and killed him and another at some warehouse. I hope that isn't a sign of things to come. Remember to pray for those families.
Go enjoy yourself.

I tried to sleep in and it didn't work!!!
I was awake before 6:00. I made myself lay in the bed. I thought JB might just sleep until at least 8:00. Nope he wakes up early and wants his clothes on.
Cydney and G both had to work today so I knew we would all be trying to get a shower at the same time. So I let everyone get out of the way and then dad gum it if they didn't start calling from the dealership. Brian needs drinks for the machine, Grayce is hungry, Cydney needs this, yayayayay!
Needless to say I got up and then was mad because I should have already been ready. JB and I went to the car lot for a while. He couldn't be still so I think when Brian gets off tonight I am going back to do the financial statement. I can get it done in about 15 or 20 minutes if no one is there to bother me.
JB, Grayce and I went to the movie to see UP!. I personally thought it was a little violent for a kids movie. Grayce cried and James Brian was just ready to go after he ate his popcorn.
I did get the bathrooms downstairs cleaned today and the kitchen floor mopped. Tomorrow maybe I will get the back foyer and the laundry room. When I get rich I am never going to vacuum or mop!
I fixed a simple supper last night and everyone loved it. No meat just vegetables. Everyone ate and that is usually not the case. Now I don't know how I am going to top that one tonight.
We joined netflix for the summer. If haven't tried it you should. It really is as good as they say. Did I say all that before. Well we got our movies yesterday, we are doing three out at the time, and have had them for more than 24 hours and still haven't watched one. Thats why I don't rent movies. There just isn't time to sit still!
Later....

Did you know a garage is a great place for a car!
if you clean out all the junk!
This morning I went to curves early, not too early but then I went to walmart for a couple of things and then I bought the children a chicken biscuit(didn't want them to use I am hungry as an excuse!) then they helped me in the garage! Everyone pitched in and we scrubbed and cleaned the windows, took everything off the shelves and cleaned under them. Then Cydney poured laundry detergent on the floor and scrubbed it with a broom. We are taking out the four wheelers and the power scooters and the wagons and the ten coolers and yard tools to make room for the car. Cyd said I guess you are going to park in here when we are done I said no you can. Boy she went to work then. If I would have know it was that easy I would have encouraged her to park in there sooner! I don't love parking in the garage. I only ever parked in there when it was raining so I won't be missing anything. I will still park in there when its raining!
James Brian even joined in. He pulled all the life vests down and scrubbed them with the hose.
We also cleaned Cydneys room yesterday. We cleaned out her closet and vacuumed her floor and her furniture(its wicker) and she pulled everything out of the drawers but put it back so she is supposed to finish that today. Mostly we just threw junk away. That child will save the most ridiculous stuff.
Now all that's left is to arrange the stuff to take to storage so we can get in the driveway. Brian will take it to storage on Thursday.
A couple of weeks ago I ask Brian if we could get rid of one garbage can because we have to pay the county extra for pickup and we haven't been using two for a while now. Well he said why not wait you will all be home during the summer and might need the extra can. Sure enough both cans are running over and they don't pick up until Friday. It still feels good to get rid of stuff!
Grayce has gone to work because the girl that works with Margarett had a headache this morning.
Cydney has ball practice tonight. Grayce has the night off. I guess I will be forced to cook supper, again! I am starting to enjoy summer vacation after all!
I guess that's it.

I am a little more motivated today....
but not enough to get everything finished!
The bad thing about having a two story house is I can either get the upstairs clean or the downstairs clean at one time. I am sure it is possible to do both in one day but I haven't figured it out yet!
I have moved furniture in my room and vacuumed underneath the furniture. We the girls and I cleaned the bathrooms upstairs. Now Cydney and I are about the clean her room. She just ask me why I made her get off the computer and G was still playing, because G's room is clean!
I went to curves this morning and maybe I will go tomorrow. I went too late today and it was too busy. I like being by myself.
Justin has had pneumonia and has not be able to play. Hopefully he will be out and about this week and I can some things done outside the house. I am getting everyone up early tomorrow to clean out the garage. They are going to love me for that!
The children are all great. I was on my way to Atlanta Saturday afternoon to pick up his beds and the man called and said there was an accident and the roads was backed up for six miles. So I was going Sunday after church. Well Saturday night he called and said his girlfriend sold the step cabinet so he is ordering us a new one. I bought another twin mattress on Saturday so I put that in his floor and he and G slept in his room last night. JB actually came to my room about 4:00! At least that is a step in the right direction. I told Brian last night we made a good choice by starting this now and hopefully by the time he goes to school he will be going to bed in his own room.
I better get something else done. I would like for Brian to be surprised when he comes home tonight!

What day of the week is it?

I was chugging along just fine the last couple of days and then on Friday I went to see my grandmother which I usually do on Saturday and that just janked everything up!

Let me tell you about Thursday first. Brian was off. I wanted to go to curves. JB rode with Brian to do some errands and they ended up at the shop to get the tractor to cut grass at our land. They rode the tractor down the main rode to the land. I picked them up and w
e went and got Brian's truck.(He will lea
ve the tractor at the land for a couple of weeks). When we got back he wanted us to ride the land with him to see a tree that had fallen over. When we got back to the car the dogs across the road come over and started barking at us. (Chase stop reading now and skip to the next paragraph). We shooed the dogs back and got in our car. Brian says don't say anything to them they are going to get run over. I said Grayce look the other way the dog is about to get BANG!. He got run over. It was terrible. She saw it. It tore her up. She cried the rest of the day. Brian was bothered. I was mad that the dog wasn't in a fence or a run. It just ruined our day. Our land
is on a very busy main road. It is how the 18 wheelers get from 16 to Oglethorpe to Wearhauser. We have already had a huge discussion on where to put the driveway because if someone got hit pulling out of the driveway I could never forgive myself. Brian had just ask me which way I was turning and I said left. When the dog got hit I turned right. The only way I can not be just sick over the dog is to know God protected us. We turned right instead so we didn't have to drive by the dog. God could have kept us from having a wreck by going the other way.
Both girls had practice Firday night. I am team mom for two teams now! I do it for selfish reasons. The girls want number 14 on their uniforms. If I order the uniform I put what number they want! It really isn't hard work and I was such a slacker during regular season I am sure someone will volunteer to help. I usually just assign someone the work!
My mom called Thursday afternoon and asked me to meet her at my grandmommas because she works at the college in Dahlonega and they are only working four day weeks during the summer so she was off on Friday. Brian had found some bunk beds in Locust Grove he wanted us to look at. JB has a car bed but he doesn't and never has liked it. So he still sleeps with us. (Which is fine, I can hear him breathe!) But he is getting too big. I don't mean too old because I don't really care if he sleeps with me forever but he kicks the covers off and props his leg across me. It is time to move on!
With ball practice every day I don't see anytime in the future I can go to moms so I thought it would be perfect timing. Cydney could drive the her and G to practice if I didn't get home early enough.
I really had fun with grandmomma. We got to visit probably an hour before Melissa got there. Then she and I went to some furniture stores. Then mom, JB, Annie and myself went to Big Shanty Museum and then to Kennesaw Mountain. It is funny how much bigger things seem when you are little. I am sure Kennesaw Mountain was really big to Annie and JB.
Grandmomma gave JB one of Papas hats. It is special to me because it was papas and it has the company that he retired from on it. Well it is really old and out of style and dad gum it if he didn't want to wear that hat around yesterday. Oh, well so much for pride with a six year old!
Then we had supper at Bugaboo Creek. Melissa loves it. JB ate really good.
On the way home I sat in traffic for an hour. Then I got off the expressway and drove down 41 for an hour. That was a mistake. I am surprised I didn't get shot in a drive by shooting. I went thru the hood if there every was one! I pray to make wise decisions and that was not one. Thank the Lord he protected my anyway!
We got home about 9:00. JB slept the entire way! Now Cydney had cirus the virus last night and she is still in bed. JB is playing with the new kids down the street and I am doing laundry.
I have to get motivated to clean house. Its not like I sit around and read all day. I am busy but it just doesn't show!

I have found the best handy man!
The handy man is making tons of progress in a little bit of time. I was so excited to go by the rental house and see the new tile! It looks great. I wished I would have thought to take a picture before and after.
Tomorrow he is going to work on the other rental, the section 8 house. It should be finished in just a couple of days. Then I will be finished with that headache.
Brian wonders why I don't get anything done. Well that stupid rental house is why. I was at it at 8:00 this morning.
Then we went to see Hayden. Grayce and JB played a couple of hours. I did a few things at the dealership and ran a few errands. Margarett doesn't work on Wednesdays so I was supposed to get Cydney up well Brian called for her at 9:00 and ask where she was and I said ooops, I will go get her up now. I went into her room and said good morning what time do you want up and she said 7:30, okay its 9:00 get up! She worked for a couple of hours and then went to lunch with her granddaddy! I think she did stay in the office most of the afternoon.
Then I had to go back to town to pay the handy man and now I am home playing on the computer. I should really quit that for a couple of days and I could get something done. Tomorrow will be a good day to start!
Oh, while I was the dealership a customer came in for me. I am thinking when school starts back I should just sell cars and pay someone to do all the junk I do. I know I could make more money! I wonder would my boss be willing to work around my exercise schedule and field trips and the mall and the grocery store. I better rethink that, huh! Things seem to be fine just like they are!
I am going to cook supper again tonight. I have to, well I enjoy cooking because tomorrow night we will be right back to the ball field. The good thing is on Cydneys practice nights she can drive herself but I want to watch her a little bit. Someone might need some adult supervision!

I thought softball was over!
Well it isn't!
Both girls made the all star team. Different age group. The state tournament is in Perry and if by some chance either made the world series again it is in Sumter, South Carolina. We can come home every night after the state playoff game and sleep in our own bed! What would be cool if my friend Dana's daughter made it to the world series and we played them in South Carolina. We both have a big hill to climb before it gets to that point. We are back to practicing every night for both girls. It was their choice though so they are doing what they won't to do!
I have been suckered into den mother on at least one team. Hopefully it won't be so much trouble as regular season. Maybe this coach can make a decision and stick with it. I keep saying I don't want to do it but I know if I take responsibility it will be done right! Playoffs are so much different you complete a ton of paperwork!
James Brian did end up staying all night with daddy last night. He came home about 9:00 this morning and has been real sweet. He still doesn't want to play with the little boy down the street he says he smells like Jacobs dog. I am not sure what that means and I am not sure I want to know! CSI: Miami didn't come on at all last night. Whenever I have full control over the TV nothing is ever on!
I went to curves again.
I still have some things to finish on the rental houses. I found a cheap handy man today. Recommend by the high priced handy man. Hopefully everything will be finished up in three or four days.
We worked in the house a good bit today. Hopefully I can get it finished this week. It took all morning to go through their school work and save or throw out papers. I want to save everything but this morning I decided I just can't!
I cooked good supper last night and pretty good supper tonight. It was nice to sit in my own kitchen and eat.
I had a nice email from my cousin Brittany today. She made my day by asking me to come visit her this summer.
I guess that is all I am sure my sister will think I am rambling by now!

I dusted!
That took up most of the day on Sunday!
That isn't totally true but I did make it last a long time. Brian and Cydney worked in the yard for a good while. Well, Brian worked a good while, Cydney mowed the front yard and then got too hot!
Then the usual, Zach come over, Brian and G went to the field, Justin played most of the day. I am still piddling with ebay. I did finish my work for the dealership last night. Besides that I don't think anything else productive has happened in two days.
I went to curves. Then I ran errands, went to the grocery store, blah, blah, blah! Tomorrow I am working in the house all day! Well, maybe not all day. I did get a deposit on the rental house. She is in the process of moving in but there are still some things that have to be done. I just can't get any cooperation from a handy man.
Grayce spent the night with Kayla. That is only the second or third person she has stayed away from home with. JB is spending the night with daddy. I am going to watch CSI:Miami all night! G text me last night, well at 4AM today to ask was our power off. It was in town where she was. It was at our house too but for goodness sakes did she think I was sleeping with the phone? Brian tells me everynight and has for 23 years to get me up in the morning. Well I have a biological clock that is perfect. I can just think what time I want up and I get up. The power was off last night but I knew I needed to be awake at 7:00 and guess what at 6:53 I was wide awake! I am so good I amaze myself!
Uncle Bobby keeps sending me pictures of his pets. They are wild bears and dear. Real bears. I don't think he knows it yet, he does now, they we are coming to his house pretty soon to see his pets. I was concerned about wild hogs at my house but they can't reach me in a tree!
The girls are watching the DVR version of the Georgia softball game. Everyone stayed up late to watch women's fast pitch. That is what my girls play. Grayce and Cydney don't pitch that fast but it is cute to watch them. Cydney does field it and throw it across from third base to first as fast as those girls.
I guess I will go cook supper. I didn't realize it is past supper time. Luckily Margarett is feeding James Brian!
Oh, I forgot I have two funny stories.
Saturday JB woke up at 8:11 and said look mom we slept late. I have slept until 8:00 but I never slept until 8:11 before!
Then Saturday night he ask When is church going to be over? I said at 12:00, no he said I mean over like school. I said honey church is never over. Don't you remember you have been going your whole life! oh, yea he said!
