I still smell dust and I haven't done anything about it!

I really should dust in here but that would take going to the kitchen getting the dusting stuff and then a rag and then back upstairs. It just isn't worth the effort! How do you spell L-A-Z-Y?

We started off the morning with nothing to do. We had a ball game at 10:00. The season should have actually ended about two weeks ago. But with all the rain we had ball games this weekend. We were to play at 10:00 to see if our team won the first half. Then we would play tomorrow afternoon to see if we won the second half of the season and then for the Championship. It is all way too serious. Well to make a very long story short we ended up having to forfeit because we were going to be one player short. So Rob called this morning and wanted to know were we going to the 12:00 game to pull for the other team, the one that didn't make us mad last night. I wasn't going but G wanted to go and Brian called and said he was going also so I had to go. Then Cydney and JB ended up at the field a little later. The team we wanted to win pulled it out in the end. Right this minute ball season is officially over. Monday we will find out if either girl made the All Star team and then we would continue on until August when both girls start school ball.

Cydney had school ball batting practice on Friday. She loved it. Her coach loves her and she is proud of herself for doing it. I told her I was proud of her for stepping out of her comfort zone and playing!

Now G is at Robs house swimming with MacKenzie, Cydney is shopping and JB is playing with a friend downstairs. I have started pulling my stuff out of the closet to start ebaying again. At least I need to try to sell a few things.

I have some paperwork downstairs to finish up for the dealership tax return. It won't take but a minute it is just sitting down to do it. I really should just go get it over with.

I guess thats it for today. Enjoy the rest of this beautiful Saturday full of sunshine!

Summer Vacation has officially started, I think!

Cydney had one last exam this morning so she went to school until 10:00. I decided after trying to sleep late on Monday that I wasn't doing that anymore so I got up and got ready by 8:00. I am going to start back exercising on Monday this week has just been a little too crazy.

James Brian is wanting to hang out with granddaddy everyday and work. Yesterday G had an exam so she went to school and JB went to work with Brian. Then Brian picked G up and they hung out until I finished at the rental house. I pressured washed and the old renter cleaned the bathroom and floors for me. Then I went to the tile store to buy linoleum for the kitchen. I thought they would just fold it up and it would fit in my car. No, it was on a big round tube that stuck out the back and then hatch flew up about 10 feet down the main road so I had to ride thru town holding my flooring so it wouldn't fall out the back. I should have taken the magnets off the side of the car. No I should have taken a picture. It was pretty funny.

Then this morning I had to go to the dealership to take a folder for a team parent. Then I came home and got the little ones and we went back to the car lot. I ran a few errands and then it was almost time for G's party at Wades house. I needed my car washed so we decieded we would drive the convertible. Ha, it is a beautiful car but I am too old. My hair was blowing every where, it was on empty, I forgot my garage door opener, it is too hot and I am still too old! After I dropped G off I went back and got my car.

Our game for tonight got canceled. Cydney is spending the night with her friend Chelsea, G has already gone to bed and JB is hollering "when is gan daddy coming to get me"?

I am sitting in the computer room smelling dust. I need to go to town to give the renter the key, I need to finish the laundry but I am blogging!

Brian has a coach's meeting at 7:00 and CSI:Miami comes on tonight. Isn't life grand!

Graduation Day for James Brian

Brian and I have managed to get each child a kindergarten education! I think that is a step in the right direction. I did really good today. I didn't cry once. I did tear up when we were leaving his classroom for the last time. He has had the best teachers. We have been so blessed. I never ask for a teacher. Sometimes I get one I don't care for but I figure God gives us who he has planned best for.

James Brian had the first speaking part. He did great to stand up in front of maybe 150 or 200 people and just say his part.

Yesterday JB had his year end party. We were supposed to play games outside and have a picnic lunch but it was raining so they played games in the gym and sat on the floor and had pizza then went to the lunch room to decorate cookies. It was fun. Never take your room mothers for granted!

I couldn't get him to eat breakfast so by the time that was over we were starving! Daddy, Margarett, Hayden, Grayce, James Brian and I all went to cracker barrell. I think that is the best cracker barrell has ever tasted! (don't worry, I took Brian and Michael lunch back).

Then I spent the rest of the day working on that silly rental house. I have to do a back ground check on the person to make sure they don't do drugs. The girl today was clean. You will be surprised what you find out about people. One time one of them said adultery and they always have domestic violence. It is really sad. I usually tell them I don't care if they hit their husband they just can't sell drugs out of my house.

Tomorrow I get to pressure wash. That is the fun part. I found someone to mop the floor. The girl is supposed to give me a deposit tomorrow so they will take care of that one!

You want another rental house story? We have one that is section 8. That means it is government housing and I get a check every month from the state paying the rent. The great thing is the check arrives in our bank account the day it is due. The bad thing is you have to do all this special stuff for it to be approved. This house I am talking about has been on the program for years and each year they do a review. This one has a couple of rotten places where the washing machine leaked that have to be fixed and the tile in the kitchen has to be replaced. So, I have a handy man, Don, that does all our work for us. He is not the greatest but he gets us by. The renter moved all her stuff out of the kitchen to replace the floor but he never showed up. His wife called me. He fell down at his house and hurt both hands and his back. This house has to be ready by June 4Th. Maybe I need to call my Uncle Mickey!

James Brian is wanting to spend the night with daddy tonight. That's fine except I can't sleep late I have to be at the house about 8:00! I just can't get a break! But, I can go to sleep as soon as he leaves! Oh, and watch what I want on TV!

Cydney and I were just looking at facebook. The scary thing is people post pictures of themselves and before they put it they look at it and go mmmhhhmmm, I look good in this picture!

Rental House Update

You know yesterday I was grumbling about trying to decide what to do about the carpet in the rental house we have empty. (Actually I just reread yesterdays blog and I didn't mention it so I will tell you the story now).

We, well I because Brian hates to mess with it! He is the one that calls it mine. Only when the rentals are empty are they mine or when we have a slow payer he will say "your renter hasn't paid this month" but when they are rented or he gets money he will say "my renter paid today"!

Anyway, I have one that is empty. It isn't in the best part of town. It could be but the houses around it are yikky and the people who live there are yikky. It is just yikky. (This is the house that had a drug bust two summers ago when we were in Texas Michael called and said to look at the local TV website our house is in the news! It got all shot up, the guy got shot. There is still a bullet hole in the door. The renter is still in jail because he shot at a police officer. The funny thing is his daddy called me and wanted to know could he have his deposit back and I said I don't think so I have to replace the carpet because there is blood everywhere and the walls have huge gunshot holes in them! This is a good story isn't it.

So, after we spent about $3500.00 to repair the house and the police chief telling me that better not happen again(he was a good renter always paid in cash and on time). The bug man and anyone else that went in the house said it was clean. I was able to rent it again.

The renters I have had for the last six months moved to a bigger place. I put a sign up for rent. I told Brian I thought I would have to do something about the carpet before I could rent it. Sure enough a girl this weekend said she loved it but I would have to paint and do something about the carpet. That made me feel good about her as a mother. We didn't really need to spend money on the carpet so I decided we would just do cheap linoleum. But last night in the middle of the night it came to me I could just paint the floor because under the carpet is concrete. (My friend Rob did their bathroom that way) I figured if a child was going to bump their head it didn't matter one way or the other. (a hard floor is a hard floor, right!)

Now I told you all of that to tell you this. When Willie, my friend that I am paying to do the work because it gags me, pulled up the carpet, there is really good tile underneath! I was so excited. It has to be cleaned. I can't do it, it is really gross! But at least I don't have to spend money on the floor! (Thank you, Jesus!)

Now I have more rental stories if you want to hear some!

I am rethinking the summer vacation thing!

After being in the house all day with children I am having second thoughts about them being home all summer! Justin was out of town this weekend so James Brian has been home playing all day today. He has been really sweet and played cars by himself and watched the race but he still says momma an awfully lot! Grayce went swimming with her friend Caroline and Cydney has just been a bum all day. She hasn't felt too good.

Now they are in the den playing ball. I hate it when they do that but they are playing together so I am upstairs pretending I don't know what is going on!

I am about tired of 24 hours of the coca cola 600. I hate for a Toyota to win but I don't mind David Ruitemann winning. He is kind of the underdog I think!

I decided today that the rental house has to have new flooring. I am meeting someone at the car lot in the morning and he is going to rip up the carpet and paint the whole house(carpet at the house not the car lot!). I just can't do it. It is too gross! I hate to know what is under that carpet!

I have been to town a dozen times today and we didn't even have school. I had to get something from Brian that had to been rewritten, I went to get Cyd gatorade, I went to get a hamburger for lunch(they cooked out), I went to drop G off at Carolines then I went back to show the rental house! Well, maybe not exactly twelve but you get the picture.

I guess that's it!

Off to Gray, Georgia we go!

We went to Gray for a little party for Emily, Lori-Brian's sisters, husband-Jeff's daughter. We had lunch with them. We got to see the girls, Emily and Whitley. I know we haven't seen them since before Christmas. (I took their presents to them today). We enjoyed our lunch and had a nice visit. I know they appreciated us coming. All five of us rode in the same car together(first time for everything!)

We did go to church and Sunday school.

Brian went to help Michael cut the grass at the shop in Elko but he got caught in the rain, again. I don't know what it is about his day off and the rain!

Now we are getting ready to watch the race. I wished they would just race. The pre-show comes on two hours before the race and by the time the race gets started I have lost interest!

The girls have helped me this weekend in the house. I am looking forward to school being out but we can't make plans until we find out what is happening with softball! We can get the house really clean while we wait!

We have a day off tomorrow. James Brian slept until 7:30 this morning so I am sure he will be wide awake at 6:00 tomorrow! I have got to figure out how to get him to get up and leave me alone!

Good Grief, somebody buid an Ark!

I am so tired of rain I am about to lose my mind!

Cydney went to the movies with Zach last night. He really is a sweet boy. She called me about 7:30 and said the movie was over they were on the way home. I told her she could hang out at the mall just be home by 9:00. She was. The rest of us didn't do anything. Oh, I sat on the couch again! Hmm, that is started to become a habit!

Our 10:00 game got canceled. My phone starting ringing about 7:30 this morning and the funny thing is I can't see the caller id without my glasses on so I hand the phone to Brian he tells me who it is and then I answer it! (I guess I should just put my glasses on, huh?)

Cydney had to help another teacher early this morning so she was gone all day. James Brian played with his friend Lane. I did nothing. I sat in the chair then I moved to the couch then back to the chair. Now I don't feel so good because I have been lazy all day! Grayce played in her room and she doesn't bother anyone. I did have to take JB to Lanes' house and pick him up!

I don't know if I told you about Zach but his mother killed herself last December. It is really a heartbreaking story. He loves our family but I think he just loves the noise and the mom and day and the whole family thing! He is starting to talk to me a little about her. I try to be nice to him. I saved the newspaper for him with his picture in it. I saved the little magazine thing that came in todays paper with all the seniors in it. It is really sad because God just made moms and dads different. A child need their mom and dad even if they aren't in the same house. I just pray I can be a good roll model for him and be his friend. I also pray he doesn't break Cydneys heart!

Okay, enough sad stuff. Have we seriously thought about building an Ark just in case. It has rained and rained and then rained some more. I don't know where all the water is going. Or where it has been stored in the clouds. (Chase will explain it to me!) It is also supposed to rain all next week. I am going to melt. I don't mean like sugar melt I mean like the witch in the wizard of oz when Dorothy threw water on her!

I guess I better go find something for supper. Grrr. I hate to do anything productive at this point in the day!

Friday off by default!

G had a game at 6:00 but it got rained out. That was actually a blessing for me! Our coaches (Brian and Rob) wanted it to be rained out because we had to use our best pitcher too many innings on Wednesday. Our team has three games scheduled this week and that means we would have to use a weaker pitcher, Grayce, and even though she throws strikes the girls can hit her and our defense isn't strong enough to stop them. Make sense?

Cydney has gone to the movies with Zach. She was really sweet and called about 7:30 and said the movie was over and I told her they could just hang out for a while at the mall. Be home by 9:00. She really is a good child. We have raised her the best we know how. I have to leave it up to God at some point! My parents did and I turned out all right! The good thing is I trust her and I will until she proves me different.

Grayce, JB, daddy, Margarett and myself went to mexican in Hawkinsville. It was alright but I wasn't that hungry. Brian was working when we left but when we got home he had the grill going. I had rather had what he was eating! It still smelled so good!

I went to curves this morning. I haven't been able to give it 100% because I still have a cough. I have finished my second anitibotic. If I am not better next week I am going to the doctor again.

James Brian brought home a school scrapbook his teacher made for him. It is the sweetest thing. I have looked at it ten times and it makes me tear up everytime.

At this point we have a game at 10:00 in the am. Cydney has to help another teacher in the am. I am sure it is going to rain tonight and I will start getting phone calls at 7:00 tomorrow asking about ball games.

I found a book I had started reading at spring break. It isn't that good so when I got home I lost it but had more books to read. I accidentally found it under my bed so I am trying to finish it. Confessions of a shopaholic. I hope the movie is better but I doubt it. I hate to admit it but it is so much like me it's crazy!

Good night!

Two funny stories right quick!

This morning on the way to school a man named Richard pulled out in front of me. I don't mean really pulled out in front of me he had plenty of time. Well, I said Umph, Dick? and kept driving. Grayce said "MOTHER!". I realized what had happened and I said oh, no Grayce that is his name thats what people call him.

We, Grayce, JB and I went to chick fil a this morning. I wasn't too hungry I just wanted a coke. Grayce always gets a plain biscuit and JB gets different things. This morning he wanted minis. I said fine. I would eat what he didn't. So I ordered the 4 pack. After I dropped them off and reached for the minis he had eaten the tops on the minis and the crunchy part off the chicken. All I had left was bottoms and naked chicken.

Hows that for a day and all before 9:00! It makes for a good day to laugh early in the morning.

What about a Wednesday?

Not much!

I went to curves today. It still isn't fun but I feel better about myself.

We are all taking our antibiotics and JB is doing his breathing treatments. I am looking forward to school ending hoping we will all be healed up!

I worked at the dealership today. Daddy saw me and ask why I was there and Brian said for two reasons: she wants lunch and she wants a new car! He was right! The truth is I was helping Brian. I did some busy work for him that he never has time to get to. I love being up there. I just don't love sitting around with nothing to do. I still had to leave early to go to a party at school. I brought a bunch of phone numbers home to call old customers that haven't been in lately and I left some work for the service department to help me do. I think I was productive while I was there.

Cydney finished up her regular season play this week. I did get word today that she is going to play on the all star team. I am proud of her but it just means another summer full of softball. I don't mind. I love to watch them. It is going to be hard for Grayce to make the team this year because we suspect the coachs would pick the older girls first. The girls that played in this age group last year. She is good but another year experience does make a difference. Both girls wouldn't be on the same team. Cydney would be on the U 15 and G on the U 12.

Grayce has a rain out make up game tonight. I was thinking it might get rained out but we only have a 15% chance so hopefully we will get this game in.

Cydney is working at the dealership this afternoon. Margarett doesn't work on Wednesdays and the other office help had a sick child so Brian ask her to work for a couple of hours. She likes working and knows how to do everything up there.

James Brian had to get his teeth cleaned after school today. No cavities. I am so proud of him for doing a good job brushing his teeth. I always wonder do my children brush that good or did God just bless them with good strong teeth. I would be willing to bet they just have good teeth!

Good night!

Monday, May 18, 2009

Whew! I have the whole house to myself!

I don't think I told you that James Brian stayed home from school on Friday. I know it sounds crazy but when he doesn't get enough sleep he gets physically sick. He throws up. My nephew does the same thing, I thought my sister was nuts too, but I have seen it happen with both of them. Anyway, he started feeling better after lunch. The moral of that story is I have been in the house with children all weekend!

We didn't see Justin all weekend. They were busy are out of town or something.

I still have bronchitis, I took Grayce and James Brian and myself to the doctor on Sunday. I got up and starting getting ready for church but I just couldn't get it together. I let Brian sleep because I thought he needed the rest and that just caused him to have a terrible headache. He was miserable most of the day.

Our game for Saturday morning got canceled and we were supposed to play Sunday. That game ended up being rained out. We have two games tonight but it isn't looking too much like that is going to happen. So I will just sit here and wait for the coaches and every parent on two teams to call me.

We have a rental house that is empty. I went by there today. Oh, my goodness. I was thinking this was going to be an easy because the girl told me she cleaned it up. Well my idea of being clean and hers are definitely not he same thing. I don't know how people just live in filth! The house has three broken windows, three!! It has to have new carpet and tile. The sad thing is and I know it happens every where all over the world is people let their children crawl on the floor in the nastiness. It is one thing to be poor or not have much but water is nearly free. You can not be just pure nasty!

I have already cleaned two bathrooms this morning. I guess I will go do something else. I can't just play on the computer all day!

Graduation

Now I know why I never go. It really wasn't so bad. After I picked my new blackberry up out of the water puddle in fell in!

It poured down rain on they way. When we parked it wasn't raining but I forgot I had my phone in my lap. So when I got up out of the car my phone hit the ground. ( I was wearing a dress). In landed in a creek. Not a real creek just a it just rained creek! I was planning on texting the entire program but no I had to pay attention!

You remember I told you the children lost a classmates to cancer a month or so ago. That was the worst part. The school had a chair for him. Every speech mentioned him. The headmaster handed his mom his diploma. Cydney kept saying don't cry mom. I didn't but everyone else did. You could see the seniors, boys and girls, keep wiping their eyes. That is a really tough thing for a group of children to endure. I have to compliment the class. They are a strong bunch of children and I am proud to say they are Westfield graduates!

After the ceremony the entire class went to the ag center to make a lap for relay for life in Lukes honor. All still wearing their caps and gowns. It was really touching.

On a lighter note. Cydney has gone this morning to help Coach Brooker with a program for disabled children. Our game at 10:00 has been cancelled. Brian is at work and JB and G are doing something downstairs with a bouncing ball I hear!

Melissa and her family have gone to Gatlinburg or somewhere for the weekend. Daddy, Margarett, Hayden and Marc have gone to see Eric. Walkers birthday is Monday. No one is in town to aggravate me! My oh my what am I going to do all day!!

Thursday, May 14, 2009

Nothing else I want to do!

So I will just blog!

Brian had a day off today. That lasted until about lunch and he went to work. He says he will get all the stuff done around here when business picks up! I am proud of him for taking his job serious. Actually tomorrow I might weed eat for him but that would involve getting dirty and I hate to get dirty! Oh, I know I can pressure wash. I love to use the pressure washer!

I guess I am going to Zachs graduation. I still am not excited about going but no one has given my any suggestions either way. I suppose I can take two hours out of my life to go support him. I made a special trip to the mall to buy him a present today. If he and Cydney break up right away I am getting my gift card back. Cyd said that was a chessy gift but I don't know how to buy something for an eighteen year old boy. To be honest I don't want to learn right now either!

Well in the process of buying a gift for Zach I had to buy myself something to wear! So this weekend I have graduation on Friday night and two parties and a softball game on Saturday. Talk about giving up my time for other people. Gee Whiz. What about me!

Cyd has a game tonight. I love that she can take herself. The players have to be there 30 minutes early. Grayce hasn't mentioned taking the cooler yet! JB and I will get there right before the game starts.

I grilled us steaks for supper. I am sure someone will want a hot dog at the ball field. Nothing beats a hot dog at the field!

Tonight at 9:00 is the pit crew challenge or something on the speed channel. James Brian has already said he is watching it. It doesn't even start until 9:00. He will be watching by his self. Brian will pretend to watch it but I know he will be asleep too!

The girls and daddy made another commerical this week. I will get Brian to put it on here. They are really good!

See you soon!

It only took Cydney driving 3 days for a fuss

I am surprised it took this long really. Cydney knows if she is late to school she loses her driving privileges. She has been getting up good and getting totally ready before she leaves(with me she throws her clothes on and finishes up on the way to school). Today Grayce couldn't find her shoes, I had already left and my phone was on silent so no one could get me to answer the phone. Finally she wore another pair of shoes and I think they just got in under the wire at school. I am sure G will be riding with me in the morning!

Cydney had a softball game on Monday, they lost. Grayce had a game last night, they won. We got home at a decent time and there is nothing else to tell about that!

Cydney told me this morning she guessed she would play all stars(softball)! You have to be asked and that is the team Grayce has went to LA and TX to play on. I don't know about G yet. The state tournament is in Perry this year so we wouldn't have to travel and the World Series is either in North or South Carolina and both girls if they both went to the World Series would be at the same place. Wouldn't that be neat!

The softball coach at school came to Cydney and made her sign up for the school team. Coach Brooker said she needed a third baseman. That is so exciting and so good for Cydney to never have played at school and the varsity coach hunt you down and make you sign up. She is a good athlete but doesn't want to put the time in to practice. In the past the school has expected you to work out in the weight room all summer and Cydney has not been willing to do that. She wants to go to the beach and shop with her girlfriends. This year the workouts only start about a week before school. She has a much better attitude.

Brian said he was tired of spending $20.00 a night a the ball field so we ate supper at home. Grayce is so funny she wanted to pack a cooler. We are ten minutes from the ball field. I think she will be okay. I always have water with me but I guess she was thinking she might need some food.

We have the night off tonight. We can eat supper at home again. I am going to curves, yuk! The children only have about eight days left of real school. I am looking forward to sleeping late(like that is going to happen)!

Gotta get started!

Oh, my sister corrected me. I should have said Brian cooked us supper but he didn't cook it he fixed it. He put the meat on the bread with some other "stuff". That is fixing!

Monday, May 11, 2009

Brian even fixed supper....

It was just a hoagie sandwich but I didn't have to cook. Can't beat that for any mothers day present! I actually sat on the couch and he called us in the kitchen when it was ready!

I went to the dealership early because I had to go to the bank and they didn't open until 8:30. Well the girl who is supposed to be there at 8:00 was late so I stayed until Margarett got there. Then we tried to submit the statement and it was $10,000.00 out of balance. I just love these days! I got mad and left. Went to curves and then went back to fix it. It was easy to find I just had to call the computer company and them tell my what I did wrong but it is aggravating when you spend all those hours doing something and then you get down to the last 30 minutes and its wrong! Surprise and oh, happy day!

Now I just got back from lunch with my daddy. Brian was supposed to meet us but got caught with a customer. So hear I sit while Brian and Margarett eat lunch. (I'm answering the phone).

Cyd has a game tonight. G's is tomorrow. Cyd drove to school today. It was convenient to be able to send her to the store for something this weekend.

Grayce is sure she has the swine flu.

I always talk about cleaning. Well my cleaning is laundry and sheets, dusting, vacuuming those kinds of things. I don't pick up laundry in your bedroom or bathroom floor but if it is where it is supposed to be I will be glad to do it and normally have it back in their room for them. Sometimes they pick it up from the couch. Well James Brian loves his cars. I have finally decieded he can only have one mess out at the time. To him that is the whole downstairs. I told you all that to tell you that he and Justin played cars all weekend. He parks them everywhere. He is also like his Aunt Faye. If you touch one he will notice. They are parked on the rug in the foyer(thats a race track), they are in the living room and under the ESPN game zone. Justin will bring cars over or JB will take some to Justins and they always know whos is whos. If you ask him for a car he will go right to it. He must have 1000 cars and he knows where everyone is. I hate to know how much money we have spent on cars.

Now the other funny thing is Cydney likes to always have company but Grayce and James Brian are loaners. JB loves to have Justin and sometimes Jacob but now we have these new neighbors that want to play all the time and JB just keeps ignoring them. They ring the door bell and James Brian says I don't want to play what can I tell them! The one boy only wants to play playstation games. JB doesn't like to play those games that much. He mostly likes cars but only plays those with Justin because apparently Justin plays cars correctly.

Happy Mothers Day!

What about this mom getting the day off? I have been talking about that a lot lately haven't I? I can "get the day off" whenever I want to. But just to let you know.... I do more before 6:00AM than most people do all day! Early to bed, early to rise, makes Michelle healthy, wealthy and wise! (I don't know about all that!)

We went to Sunday school and church. Grayce had planned to fix me breakfast so when we came home she fixed brunch. She did scrambled eggs and bacon and pancakes. I think it was the best eggs I ever ate. She needed a little help but she really did a great job.

I have taken down all the shades upstairs and washed them and put them back up. Last time I paid someone to do it and it wasn't as easy as I thought. I thought I could just dip them in the water and them come clean but I really had to scrub. Now with that money I saved I can eat out supper next week!

I attempted to watch the race last night. I can't sit still and not go to sleep. I know Mark Martin won. I love the old guys winning I don't care what kind of car it is. I prefer a toyota not to ever win but I still like an old man. I don't know what has happened to Carl this year. Married life might have his mind in a funk!

Now we are just hanging out. I am about to watch facing the giants for the 4th time. I don't know why I keep watching it and the funny thing is I get into like I don't know whats going to happen. Brian said do you really think it is going to end different this time. Well, it just might. I don't know what I think.

May the force be with you!

Whew! We are home early today....

Cydney had a rain out game makeup at 11:00. (I said that yesterday). The other team didn't even show up. They ended up practicing for an hour or so.

James Brian spent the night with Justin. I could have slept late this morning but no. Someone had to have Cinnamon rolls at 8:30 this morning. I was awake but I was going to enjoy laying in the bed until I had to get ready to go to the game. It was nice that Cyd could take herself early. So I ended up getting up and going to the dealership to finish what I had started every day last week. The good thing is now Monday I can take the day off. Maybe I will really take the day off and watch tv all day! (that isn't really going to happen!) I will be doing the never ending laundry!

Cydney has driven herself to the mall to buy a dress for Zachs graduation next Friday. I don't want to go but I feel like I need to. I am willing to listen to suggestions....

Justin had a game at 1:00 but his mom just dropped him back off. James Brian and I were watching When stunts go bad. I love Evel and Robbie Kneivel. I don't want to be a dare devil love them but Robbie is cool and Evel was always my hero.

Last night Brian and I were watching game 7 of the world series or I guess it was the playoffs I don't know for sure. (1992). I loved baseball that year. I also knew when baseball started (1993) back it would be time for the baby to be born. (Cydney now!)

Tomorrow, Mothers Day and May 10th is the one year anniversary of Dana's daddy's death. She is having a tough time today. Be thinking about her and keep her in your prayers. She is really special to me and it bothers me that she is sad!

James Brian and Justin are getting ready for the race tonight. Isn't is special they don't ever race on Mothers Day. Ole Matt Kenseth pulled it out last night. Maybe I should put the yikky yellow back up!

I don't have a stinking thing to ramble about today. Enjoy the rest of the weekend!

We have a real licensed driver in the house!

How depressing is that! I almost lost it yesterday on the way to the test place. I can't believe I am old enough to have a child that can drive. Cydney made a 100 on her test. The funny thing is the examiner told her after she had been driving less than a mile to go on back. She was a good driver. He must have read my mind and knew I needed that! She backed into a parking spot and parallel parked like a champ! She was really nervous but I tried to tell her driving was the easy part! She left for school real early this morning, if she is late she doesn't get to drive to school, and then she brought G home after school. There was no arguing in the car with James Brian and I! It will be nice to have some one to send to the store!

David James daddy bought him a convertible mustang this afternoon. Actually he made the decision yesterday so I called this morning and told him to come early and take me to lunch! Brian, David and I ended up going to lunch and me buying. I guess since he bought a car the least thing I could do was buy his lunch, huh? (David and Ellie our friends from Hawkinsville)

I went to curves this morning. GRRR! Then I had to work. I can't get settled at the dealership. I don't have a desk, I don't have a computer. I keep getting talked to. I am too nosy and I want to know everything that is happening. So I brought my work home and hopefully I can get it written down and run up there tomorrow or Sunday and finish it.

James Brian had graduation pictures this morning. He was so handsome in his tie. That made me a little weepy too! Gee, all this growing up could be dangerous to a person.

Cydney had a game last night. It was miserable. We only play as good as the other team, so we lost. G has a game tonight and tomorrow Cyd has a game!

Cydney has gone to Zachs, James Brian is playing with Justin and Grayce is hollering for me to fix her some noodles.

Where the boat leaves from....

Theres' a place, where the boat leaves from, it takes away all your big problems, you got worries you can drop them in the blue ocean. But you gotta get away to where the boat leaves from.

I don't have too many problems today I just think they sounds kind of catchy.

We had soccer and softball Monday. Neither game got canceled and if you would have ask me I would have bet money that it was going to rain and then the sun came out so pretty. Grayce's team won. Cydneys lost.

Tuesday Cydney played her last soccer game. She is so tired of all the running. It has been good for her but I know all the running as bugging her and the attitude of girls who don't really care gets on her nerves. She wants to win at all cost. She lost her soccer game and they were in the third inning and a storm came. So I guess we will finish that game at a later date.

Today is Wednesday. We have the entire afternoon off. Cyd has been practicing her parallel parking. Good grief. People who can't park just avoid those spots! She can do it but it is nerve racking.

I went to curves then to the car lot. Brian and I both feeling better but neither one of us are a 100%. I am just about to start feeling sorry for myself. Brian wants me to work more but I don't want to. I have too much to do at home to work all the time. Besides the point that I just don't want to work! I didn't get finished today so I will go there for a couple of hours tomorrow.

I guess I have to find something for supper since we are at home. It would be mean to tell them to eat a hot dog!
Cydney is wearing a mouth piece in case she gets hit in the mouth. Don't forget you can click on the pictures to make them big.

Okay the yellow is a little yikky!

James Brian was watching and it was either Matt or Carl. I already had Carl so I said lets choose Matt. I will change it another day. That yellow is horrible!

I am sitting here waiting for them to cancel the soccer game at 5:00 and the softball game at 7:30. It look like we have rain above us and below us but not on us. So I am sure we will be playing both games today!

Brian is still miserably sick. He even went back to the doctor today. He got some new drugs and something for his headache that he has had for three days so after resting a couple of hours he was good to go. On the way to school this morning G said mom make sure you make dad go to the doctor because he is still sick. I said I ask him three times yesterday and at 5:00 this morning and he doesn't want to go. He is a grown man and I can't make him go. Then she said something about me being sick and to my horror my own flesh and blood said well you know he is sicker than you! DIE, I thought I would. Of all the people in the world I would have thought I raised my own daughters not to believe men being sick is always worse than a woman but sure enough she said it right there in the car. Don't worry I let her know that he wasn't sicker than me, a mother could just handle it and a man can't! Can I get an AMEN, ladies?? Seriously he did have a terrible headache, which I know is worse than anything I have ever had and he said he could handle one or the other but not both. I do understand that part. Maybe tonight if we all take enough cough medicine we can get a good nights rest.

I went to curves today. I didn't want to go, of course, I never do. But I didn't feel I could let a cold get me down. I might go tomorrow because I know I am going to go to work sometime Wednesday and I might not get to go. Or I might just go everyday! The great thing about working and not working is I can show up when I feel like it and no one says anything.

Not much else exciting happened today. I guess thats a good thing.

Cydney's Day

We had a day all about Cydney. I guess that is how it should be when your sixteen. The bad thing is she will be using that all week, clean your room, I can't it my birthday, put up your laundry, I can't it's my birthday, do your homework, I can't it my birthday. YAYAYA!

Cyd got the worlds biggest chocolate chip cookie cake for her birthday with some other stuff.

She had two softball ball games in Crawford County. The redneck, hoochee momma capital of the world. At one point there were four police cars at the park. What does that tell you? Cyd won both games. She plays third and she pitched a little.

Then we met Brian, daddy and Margarett, Marc, Lynn and Hayden, Zach, Michael, Brandi and Jacob at Chili's for supper. Remember I had a gift card. Daddy said out of his 64 years that was his worst dinner experience ever. We tried to remind him no it wasn't that was in Las Vegas about 10 years ago. (that's a story for another time). We sat on the outside porch because we didn't want to wait for over an hour for a table inside. It poured down rain, we moved the entire porch around to get out of the rain. Apparently you can smoke outside at restaurants in Macon. So the only other people on the porch thought they had to smoke a whole carton of cigarettes during dinner. It took over an hour to get our food. Same old crap wherever we go when daddy and Margarett are with us.

We finally got home after 10:00.

Now I am blogging because if I go lay down it is hard to get up. Brian is still sick. I am better but I don't feel like reading or watching TV. I took the children to Sunday school and that is it for the day.

I still don't like Kyle Busch! He's a cheater!

HAPPY 16TH BIRTHDAY, CYDNEY

.
Grayce bunting.

Hitting correctly.

G plays second base.

Cydney plays third base.

Cyd after her base hit on first.

This is when she smacked the ball off the good pitcher.

Gee, what have I gotten myself into? She still won't have her license for another week or so. Even when shedoes get it I am not letting her drive the other two around. It will be nice for her to shuttle herself around to ball practice.

What else is up....Well, besides Brian and I both being really sick, one foot in the grave one foot on a banana peel sick. It is almost 12:00 and I am not dressed yet, sick. We both went to the doctor and have drugs but we expect them to work a little quicker than they are.

We had two ball games Thursday and two ball games Friday. Brian and I both had to suffer thru them. They are kind of a blur but Thursdays games were better, one win one tie. Yesterday I think they both lost. I can't remember to be honest.

Cydney got a hit off the fastest pitcher in the league which is great for your confidence level. Grayce got on base with a bunt. She is too fast to throw out normally. Both girls are athletes. I am so proud of them.

Today Cydney has a game in Crawford county at 4:00. We are leaving here at 2:00. After the game we are supposed to go eat at Chili's in Macon, I have gift card!

My friend Lorraine loaned me her movies: facing the giants and fireproof. I watched facing the giants this morning. I cried for 111 minutes. The acting is a little slack and it is definitely low budget but the moral of the story is good. It was also filmed in Georgia at Sherwood Christian Academy and it was fun to see where we had just been. I am looking forward to watching fireproof.

Grayce had spend the night company so I have to take Jenni home before I can go to Crawford county! Oh, joy!

Brian said he was dying. I told him we didn't have time to fit death into our schedule right now he would have to wait a few months.
